Some Background: I got badly mauled by a Spitfire whilst defending Bernay, belly landing with a dead engine & crashing through the perimeter fence. Unexpectedly, I was able to get the aircraft repaired, but not back through the gap in the fence (it was too small & blocked by the wreckage of a crashed Spitfire). So I had to find a patch of grass outside to take off again. Meanwhile the airfield continued to be attacked.
