That was the time when the Waratah crashed into a abandoned trailer at vineyard. And last year after the overhead wire at panania, there was a 16 car Waratah rescuing from central. The G5 locomotive hauled the A73 to central and the other Waratah came to rescue and was sent to auburn maintenance
If it wasn't for this video, I would probably never know that this happened. Great video Phil! And something very interesting to start the post 10 year anniversary videos!
And I did once saw a 16 car Waratah which was an A set towing a B set behind it, heading down on the Northern line. It was night time at North Strathfield Station years ago when B sets are being delivered.
Unbelievable! Many things happen these days I wonder why any type of situation like this would keep going? Thanks for sharing the video about what happened!
From the view of a normal passenger, barely any spare capacity. Some times they fix the issues quickly and only delay a couple trains. Otherwise, if some incident happens, be it medical emergency or track/train/signal failure, if it happens in the morning, basically expect delays until evening peak. If it happens in the evening, rest of the day will be stuffed and delays left right and centre. Spare rolling stock should have plenty.
Hmm interesting... They didn't loco haul it like last time that wire hit A73 at Panania. I guess it might be cheaper to tow A15 with spare rolling stock in nearby yard (in this case A1) than getting a loco to come

Happy Aussie day, peoples. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
I think we should consider 16 car trains during peak hour
It looked like the Waratah train had 8 carriages.
2 Waratah trains together
@@sydneytrainsvlogs that is crazy 2 CARRIAGES
Just curious, how can you check what type of trains are on the line and any events such as this one. Thanks if there's a reponse.
Excuse my ignorance but does the Qube diesels that passed thru are they manned or remotely operated 😊
They’re manned :)
Where was it crash was it the same warahtah crashed at Richmond how did it crash?
It was at Vineyard.
Different Waratah to the one from the Richmond crash
With this crash someone left a trailer on the tracks and A15 hit it.
Nice video
Thank you :)
Your welcome I actually was on holidays at riverstone and on the day it happend I was there
@@RyansTransportVlog-gg2gs Not trying to be rude but it's you're.
As long as you weren’t on the train and you are safe :)
It’s all good, i know what he meant.
No problem at all :)
how much spare capacity is in the system network if one set is out of service suddenly?
