don't worry about it too much. A 3080ti is a great card even held back.
i got the same fps with my 3080ti like your 4070ti in this benchmark, it also differs from card to card , happy new year
3080ti is a better buy if you can find a good deal for it used. It's not worth the extra 3 or 400 dollars new. There's a lot of good sellers that really nicely restore 30 series cards and I think that's just a better buy. $800 for a gpu is just stupid.
$800 for this GPU is stupid. I would actually buy a 4080 if it was $800, but it's not...
If you're a brokie
🙃
1st game CPU power used was more in 4070 To
2nd game RAM speed was more
1.) Well yes, the 4070ti is pumping out more fps, so there's going to be higher CPU usage.
2.) I'm not sure what you mean. The difference in the RAM usage is negligible & the speed is both 6000mhz.
@@pengu6335 was just checking the difference 😬
@kalicharan4412 Was just replying to your comment based off your observations. Ain't nothing hostile about it.
I think the 2 biggest downsides of 4070ti are:
1. Price
2. The neutered bus width -192 bits
For $800 you are getting 192 bits of bus width. Thats what budget cards used to get back in the day.
The 3080Ti has more CUDA cores and Tensor Cores. The 4070Ti also has higher clocks.
3080 Ti + 350w fire :D
Thank you for doing 4070ti. Godspeed.
Power draw is the most impressive difference.
Between 5-10% at a shitty price point... I was excited for the 4080 coming from a 1080Ti but I went for a 6 months old 3080Ti OC for half the price of the 4080... And I was ready to buy a 4080 for 900€. Not 1400€+! Really sad that GeForce are held hostage by a stupid, greedy, green goblin.
Impressive. And that's not even including games with Frame Generation, effectively doubling frames on the 4070 ti
Depends. Sometimes it's only 20-30% boost. Then again other times like with Cyberpunk RT overdrive it's more than double.
@letigidou8660 From my tests frame gen looks just as good. Definitely adds a whole level of playability in future titles that support it.
They're not real frames, just interpolated.
@@nickbryant6970 Adds playability by pre 2023 performance standards. The way things have been going this year optimization has become so bad that DLSS and FSR aren't going to be boosts anymore, they will become crutches needed even for high end GPU's to perform any decent.
So 3080ti for 500usd used or 4070ti for 750usd new ? For 1440p gaming
Great idea. Bought mine for double that like 2 years ago, still handles everything 4k 60fps
I’m in this exact spot, I can get a 3080Ti for $500 but I am not sure if I should go for it
@@negga50 there is no better gpu for that budget now. 500 is not cheap and to get that 2k gaming you will pay much more by getting an rtx40xx series
Why does my 3080ti only get 30 fps on cyberpunk? Ist it my cpu or ram? I have a ryzen 5 5600x or something and 32 gb ddr4 ram if that helps.

4070 power consumption is actually so bad ass!
Wie soll den eine 3080 ti mit einer 4070 ti gleichziehen wenn Frame Generation an ist ( denke mal aus ) und hier kann doch nur Path Tracing off sein
The 3080Ti will age better, the 4070Ti looks very laggy on Hogwarts Legacy, it must be the 192 bit memory bus.
@@Rico-zq2ej It doesn't show the microstuttering.
@@Rico-zq2ejWatch a video about the 3080Ti in 2023.
Not everything is about memory bus. 4070 ti for sure will age better, especially considering how efficient it is and also much better RT performance in general besides that.
@@RagssssssThe bad memory bandwidth hurts the 4070Ti's perfomance at higher resolutions than 1080p, NVIDIA discontinued the 4070Ti, this means that card is heavily flawed.
@@saricubra2867 not because it was flawed LOL, it is discontinued because 4070 ti super basically replaced it, same goes for 4080 super replacing 4080. Also, following your logic, did 4080 vanilla have flaws too? Hilarious man.
the REAL difference is the significant LESS POWER the 4070 Ti uses.
Epic battle between trash and garbage.

RTX 4070 Ti is very good 🔥
Not for $800 lol. That card is terrible for that price. 7900xt costs $100 less, faster raster and doesn't have 1gb more than a 6 year old 1080ti which was priced at $600.
@@cxngo8124the MSI 4070 Ti Ventus is around $900 cheapest in my area.
You will barely notice the difference so an upgrade is not ideal. But if you have the money, then go upgrade.
Meh, i undervolted and overclocked the heck out of my 3080 ti, would never trade it for 4070ti, esp. since i payed 420 euros for it...
I'm unclear as to why some RUclips channels don't test fps's using dlss and frame generation, that's the whole point of the 4000 series's existence.
the frame generation and dlss give you input lag, sometimes its better just to play with raw power. DLSS works very well in most games but not so much in others, so it is not a very important metric.
because we want truth not gimmics duuuhh
I went from my 3080 to a 3080Ti because the deal was amazing, after seeing this I've no intention to upgrade to a 4070Ti, if anything I'd rather take a 3090Ti that has equal performance but double the Vram.
It performs better than a 3090ti in most games. Frame gen and way less power consumption are bonuses. V ram is the only bonus
@@nickbryant6970 Not really, actually in the PCMR group most people report the opposite, it tends to overperform the 4070Ti, Fg is a thing but Fsr3 is here, and I don't care about power consumption since I just got a 1000w gpu
People who own a 3080ti also have a previous generation CPU such as a 10700K or 5800X, so there is an even bigger difference from the 13x00. Even more so if you include DLSS FG.
not as much, maybe 5% to 10%.... the 13900k and 7800x3d are benchmarked with a 4090 at 1080p which is poor indicator of what performance will actually be at 1440p with these cards. Check the techpowerup review for the 7900xtx, which uses both the 13900k and R7 5800x.
The thing about the 5800x and 10700k is they're both very tune-able.
Neither of cpus with decent ram would bottleneck 3080ti, at least noticeably.
1440p?!
RTX 3080 was never even close MSRP.
Frame generation is not foe me i play fps game the most,i dont like fake frame..with more input lag so i decide to stick with my 3070…1080p 240hz with competitive settings its still handle well enough,if i decide to switch my gpu ill go for amd gpu
I would have bought it at $799 IF it had 16GB Vram and a 256 bit bus.
As for me, there is no point in buying a RTX 3080 Ti for the same money
Is it worth it to upgrade to 4070ti from 6700 XT?
I hate the 4070 Ti, the memory specs at it's price point disgusts me to my core.
But why not 4k?
I never thought I would see a vanilla game almost bring a so much as just a regular 3080 to its knees at under 60 fps
is that 4070ti with dlss 3.5 ?
Now you can get the rtx 4070 ti around $500 - $600

depends on the game. some games are poorly engineered requiring the "80Ti" side of it. ideally they should take adavntage of the 4070's archatecture. I've seen choppy frame rates in games like "Planet Nomads" in even high end cards that fall short of the "80" side. In fact, programers are lazy.

Yeah right, the 3080ti still closes the gap at 4k with the larger memory bus, Ray Tracing is still a joke, and DLSS 3/3.5 is supported by too few games to justify. Nvidiites need to sit down and chill..... and quit letting Jensen convince them of needing screen doors for their car.
