Yoga for Flexibility: Upper back and hips is for all levels. This class can be practiced all at once but I also encourage you to choose some poses that really help to stretch tightness and practice them 5-10 minutes per day for 30 days. You'll really notice an improvement! As always, listen to your body and stop if you experience any pain.

I have been doing your 30 day challenge; however, after having a tough night at work last night that ended with the death of a patient I had been caring for, I needed something more restorative. The old me would have just skipped today because I wasn't feeling it but I chose to show up. This class gave me the peace and release I needed to go to work again tonight with a smile on. Russia is joining too! Thank you so much! My husband's back became much better after 90 days yoga challenge, before it had a bend in the shoulders, now is way much straighter! I also feel much better. I have really tight shoulders. So I find your upper back opening videos very helpful. I also love hiit yoga for mustering up some energy or burning out a cold!

I would love to see a class titled "Yoga for a cold" - or something along those lines. The other day I was sick with a head cold and found myself a little sore wanting some gentle yoga to ease my achy muscles. Your recent class "Yoga for Headaches" was perfect, as it cured the headache I was suffering from when I began the class! Not to say 'Yoga for a cold' would cure the common cold, but it would bring some relief I'm sure, ha! Thank you so much for all of your videos!

Definitely prefer "full" (aka longer) workouts, but as always, all of your videos are great!
I've really been working hard at hip openers and back flexibility because I want to eventually be able to slide into the splits, and I'm working on making my bridge pose more curvy and strong. Loved this flow, and I really felt it in my hips. Thank you for the practice!
I was really glad to find this video this morning, my body is so stiff after a hard fitness class yersterday, and all these stretching exercices and the slow pace were perfect to wake up my body and warm it up ! Your classes are always a beautiful discovery :)

I was actually on the verge of tears in the hip opening pose. I have no idea what happened there, but apparently storing emotions in your hips really does happen.

Leslie, I look back at your earlier videos and love how you have progressed to your new teaching methods. I have been practicing with you since this video came out, and I am glad you have allowed your self to step away from the very formal, almost serious presentation to the natural, happy enthusiasm you show in your newer content. I am in a post holiday slump. I went for a (slow) jog to try to get the heart rate up, and this was the perfect hip opener after. Baby steps towards getting back in shape!

Lesley, thank you as always from the bottom of my heart for your constant classes. This was beautiful, and much needed. I love your instruction with regards to cow face pose. More recently I have taken lotus out of my daily practice as it bothers my knee. I shall choose this as my daily pose to concentrate on. Thank you again. Namaste xxx

Really nice and relaxing session after a day sitting at a desk.
Only wish you would preface the session telling us to get a ball before we started so we wouldn't have to get up and go looking for once once we've settled in.
I'm glad you liked it! Sorry about that...I don't remember using a ball....I do use yoga blocks and straps a lot in the videos, so if you have them, keeping them near by is always a good idea. :-)

I tagged this class onto the end of your nice, easy 45 minute vinyasa as I work through exacerbation of chronic right groin strain and associated right quadratus lumborum tightness. Your recommendations are extremely helpful and your narration always so soothing. I am thinking that the yogic squat for 10 minutes may help? But also very tight quadriceps and fragile knees from years of athletic competition were able to be gently challenged with this class. Thank you so much! If ever you would like to target a beat up old triathlete population please let me know!

Hello TheSunshinefee You could work up to 10 minutes for pose 4:26 but it would be very challenging....maybe try to work up to 3 minutes? For the pose at 15:06, you can either stay sitting up or you can sit right in front of a bolster or blankets or pillows and lay back. Use as many props as you need for it to feel comfortable. I hope this helps! :-)

I love this! I have such tight hips from so much running. Do you have any suggestions of good yoga poses for someone recovering from a knee injury?

You might also like this our newest class: ruclips.net/video/wN433BYdG_o/видео.html It's difficult to recommend poses for a knee injury without really knowing about the injury and what kind of movement inflames it and what doesn't. Generally speaking, there shouldn't be any pain in the knee...if you feel pain while practicing, stop right away. Good morning. :) I was wondering if you could do a video or if you already have one for full upper body shoulders chest back waist flexibility. I am a female body builder who competes ad would really benefit from getting upper body flexibility for my posing? I have been implementing and doing your videos twice a week around my normal training routine. and it's really been helping.

Absolutely love your yoga classes, it really hepls me with my back issues. It would be awesome, if you could do an intense class for the middle, upper back and shoulders. Hey +Fightmaster Yoga, thanks so much for your videos, they're really great and helpful! Would you be able to do a class for people with knee and hip injuries? There are so many poses that I can't do because I can't sit on my knees or bend them too far (e.g. squats) and I would love to learn how to modify poses that don't work for me. Thanks again for your videos.
+Chava thank you for your request. I'll work on that. In the meantime, when there's a squat, just bend your knees a little bit. If it starts to hurt, be sure to back off immediately. :-)

Can we hold the pose on 4.26 really for ten minutes ?
What do you advise when people can't lie on their back in the pose at 15.06. Is there any modified pose or how can we use blankets to support it?

I'm a huge fan of your videos and have been practising for a wee while now, however I have a persistent back injury so I have been trying out this routine along with your Office Workers one. I was just wondering if you have any alternatives (or beginner substitutes) for the Malasana Squat? I really want to try doing it everyday like you suggest, however I find it impossible to even get close! The only way I can achieve it is with my heels lifted off the ground which I understand is not desirable. Do you have any advice?
I also find Chair Pose ridiculously hard, it's like my body just does not want to move that way.. but I don't know if that is because I am doing it wrong or simply because I am still quite un-flexible.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated and a huge thank you for your videos, they have been a lifesaver to me xx
Erin Murray I'm so sorry to hear about your back pain. I know Malasana isn't super accessible to everyone. You try the pose with your heels up and roll up a blanket or towel to put underneath your heels for support. Just be sure that your knees are in line with your middle toes. Or, you could lean up against a wall and lower down with the wall supporting your back...you can also practice chair pose that way as well. I agree: chair pose is ridiculously hard! xx

I noticed you mentioning that you could hold a pose for 10 minutes a day to improve your flexibility. Would you recommend this for frog pose? I really enjoy that pose although it is difficult because I am hyperflexible but always seem to have tight hips. I wonder if it would be too intense to hold frog pose for 10 minutes and wanted to know what you think.

+Eleni Kapoulea Thank you so much for your question. It's hard to know what would be best for your body but I think frog would be too intense for mine. I would probably stick with gomukasana (cow-face pose) legs. It's a great hip opener but not as intense on the groins. You could always try to hold frog for 3 minutes first to see how it feels for you and maybe gradually work up to 10 minutes, but since your hyper-mobile, you'll need to be extra careful. :-)
