Gale definitely has a wealth of knowledge. But those things are gimmicks. If they added additional power and torque maybe. I'm not sure spending money on something that doesn't actually add engine performance is anything but a fool's errand.
@@bmstylee it's just for people that don't want to void there warranty or don't know about custom tunes to get more throttle response so it feels "torquie" 😂
Gale Banks has a great team working for him and may I say, a mix or young and seasoned techy’s working for him. As for a number of negative comments on the “Commander” brand, most of these components come from companies introducing a new product or trying to increase sales. These show up at “Power Nation” complex for free or reduced price, cost and frequency include technical rep or department manager to help install. Speedway Motors, in Lincoln NE. has acres of a facility that allow for R&D, in-house Fabrication. As a Delco rep much less a ASE Master, I have seen racks of DOM tubing, electronic bending, hard fixtures, TIG welds, powered coat & warehouse storage. I love their new crossmember systems. Then across the street, a warehouse with 5 & 6 speed Tremic transmissions on pallet stacked to the ceiling! Best of luck to everyone and your projects, but sharing your experience I why we are here. Money is a result of blood, sweat & tears. But learning never stops. DK, Omaha.
I loved my P-C until it threw a ton of codes and I had to take it out. I tried it again months later only to leave me stuck in 3rd gear the whole way home. It’s sitting on a shelf now. It worked great until it didn’t.
I am NOT a mechanic but that was the first thing I thought. Trying not to be negative, but if I were in the market for a supercharger I would pass on this one because of the intake placement
I can't tell you how many Chrysler products I've had to remove a Pedal Commander because the car keeps going into Limp mode. Customer buys a used car, has a Pedal Commander, after 6-7 months of driving something fails, and all I do is remove the pedal commander, clear codes and good to go. 99% of the time I see it on 2014+ Ram 1500 with the 5.7L Hemi. I work at a private shop not even a Chrysler Dealer.
I'd be more worried about putting boost to something not designed for it. Last thing you want is to put to much boost to it and clip the top of the piston when the end gap closes up.
@bmstylee that's the other thing I've been told, these 5.7's CANNOT take boost, for the reasons we both said. Yet in this video, they did neither. Also, I looked up the cost of this exact kit they used - 9000 Dollars. You can buy a brand new WITH WARRANTY crate 426 from dodge RIGHT NOW and make the same power...
Dodge 2015 and newer have locked computers. You have to buy an unlocked computer before you can do any tuning. That will add $500 to any project. Just wanted you guys to be aware because they never show everything here.
1. Should have checked the cam and lifters before spending money on all those mods. There is a good chance there could already be problems lurking in this motor! 2. Install a LSD! R/T's don't come with a LSD, which is a joke even with the stock cars 370HP rating. Should have been equipped from the factory like that, but only the Scats and Hellcats come with a LSD factory.

The vehicle already has sport mode which allows faster pedal response among other things
But resets when engine is turned off
That pedal commander is dangerous and junk. I took mine off and got a banks brand. Night and day difference
They are expensive gimmicks. They don't add any additional horsepower or torque.
@@bmstyleeyou are correct about the horsepower
But they improve pedal response, which gets you the ponies faster
Man as soon as you go hp tuners there is no reason for a pedal commander. You can set up your pedal feel anyway you want that’s the way to go
@@bmstyleethey don’t advertise that they do. Just delete the delay in the drive by wire throttle.

I find that soaking old plastic connectors in WD-40 for a while helps them come apart
So no dyno results? 😂
That's a respectable baseline
Why? So we all wait around for the "cliffhanger" next week? The dyno, the install,. No pay off

History of DIY is alive and well. Cool that Gottlieb Daimler and the Dodge Brothers made their things that led to this thing.

Don’t forget the $800- $1,000 mandatory unlocked/ aftermarket ECU and at least $300 tuner programer then $♾️ for dyno tuning
Yes they can. 8 psi, and with ring gap can take up to 20 psi. But 14 is usually dependable

Cheaper to buy a 392???

They are rated for 370 CRANK. After transmission it usually reduces by like 15%.

Not too crazy about that intake sitting right over the header.
You're not a fan of the hot air intake?
@bmstylee why no, no I am not. 😜
Why dyno it in the beginning if you weren't going to after?
