Good job with the food. Cornbread looks good and so do the beans! I'd be so happy to have that. I'm a southern boy as well, just below y'all in Tennessee.
Welcome to America, my wife struggled with missing her family and home. We tried all the Filipino restaurants on our island and unfortunately she only liked one. Max's of Manila. Best wishes.
My goodness ate you did great job on beans and cornbread many American woman can't even cook beans and cornbread like that. I am happy to see you are learning quickly and adapted so nicely. Keep up the great job. Also ricky is a man he will work until he die lol it's the way we are raised. So happy to see you guys post again. Looking forward to your next video.
Great job. Those beans with that cornbread crumbled up in the beans. Thats how we ate them growing up. You guys give me hope. I am also in LDR relationship with a Filipina and hope we can get her here until I retire. Then we will move back to the Philippines.
Hello, I enjoy watching your videos and I hope that you like living in the USA. It’s great that you are eager to learn how to cook American foods. It might be a good thing if you could purchase a set of measuring spoons, so that your measurements will be more precise than just using a regular teaspoon, and guessing the measurements.
Nice cooking of American food, but have you ever heard of a store called "jungle jims" I don't know how far down in KY you guys live, but there are two outlets of this store in the Cincinnati area. One on the east side, and one on the north west. They have an enormous amount of international foods, and the Asian section has selections from the Philippines that I have not found anywhere else. I even found green mango and shrimp paste which is one of my fiancé's favorite things. She is still in Cebu, but our NOA2 has arrived so now we're just waiting for NVC to assign a case #. Hopefully she will be here by the end of this year. We would love to meet you guys if you are interested in making friends with other Fil/Am couples. We will be living in NW Ohio.
I’m bringing my fiancé to the states too. We are in the scheduling for an interview and it’s a nightmare. We haven’t been able to find an available slot.
We’re mixed family also. It’s an adjustment. You can go on the web and find Asian stores to buy Philippines ingredients. I don’t know where or how far you may be from them. We had to drive to places at first. Now there’s more so it’s a little easier. For thanksgiving we do a mix of American and Filipino dishes. We’ve introduced my American family to many Philippines dishes. I will subscribe to your channel.
Don't get much better than Pinto beans, cornbread and fried taters to stick to your ribs. Raised in the Blue Ridge of Virginia, it looks. Scrumptious sweetie.
Hi sis! New subscriber here. Like you, I am a Filipina married to American and got here through K1 visa. I also make vlogs here in RUclips 😊. My greencard got approved 4 months after I submitted the application. It’s normal to get really stressed if you’re still in the process of submitting the paperworks but don’t worry everything will be alright. God bless you and your husband and more power to your channel 🙏
sounds like he might have a nasty case of Covid. Good luck and hope he feels better soon. Many times I have worked while fairly sick as well when your the only person who can do your job.
Next time buy a box of Jiff Cornbread mix. Usually is $1.00 per box and comes out great if made according to directions. You're doing a fantastic job Karen!! You're sure to put on the pounds on Ricky with your good cooking.
