I recently switched to DIY dosing and I've set everything up on its own doser, including the two traces. So hoping I can tweak the traces separately to avoid issues like this! Good job you noticed though, hope it gets back in track!
It looks like, your tank was doing fine and then you tested. When you received the results you didn’t like them and you starting changing adding bacteria and elements. Now you are having problems and your solution is to test more and add more…..
That could be the case. I just got tired of dealing with cyano and thought it had to be bacteria based. Now when I’m looking at my latest number a bunch of traces have dropped over the last year. I think I’m getting to the point in my reef at the 3 1/2 year mark where things are starting to deplete quickly
@@shallowreefing My reef is 8 - 10 years old and all I do is basic maintenance and dosing. I have been doing the same thing the entire time and I don’t have problems with fish or coral dying. Yes I have a little cyano from time to time, I just change the flow, it’s a reef tank. I would rather deal with a little cyano than dying coral but that’s just me…

“106$, We spend that much on a coral that ends up dying because we don’t take care of it” big facts sir. 😂
The amount of money we spend in this hobby feels like it gets out of hand sometimes.
Spencer is awesome 👌
He’s pretty adorable! 🥰

100% agree. Before he tested he thought the corals were fine.
I got myself in trouble this way too
