- The death of Ernesto del Cruz when the bell falls on him marks the seventh villain to die in a Pixar movie. This comes after Hopper’s death in 1998’s A Bug’s Life when he is eaten by birds, Syndome’s death in 2004’s The Incredibles when he is sucked into the turbine of a plane, AUTO’s death in 2008’s Wall-E when he is “relieved on duty”, Charles Muntz in 2009’s Up when he falls to his death, Mor’du in 2012’s Brave when he is crushed, and Thunderclap in 2015’s The Good Dinosaur by drowning.

Mordu’s death always fucks me up. He was just like Merida mum. He was someone who didn’t know what he was getting into. And now he’s just a beast, a dead beast.
You mean like Merida. Elenor didn’t ask for to be turned into a bear
I think the heartbreaking part is when he finally is released from being a bear, his spirit just nods a quick “thank you.”
@@alexandrocorona9283 Merida’s mom was the one who got turned into a bear…? And she didn’t know she was going to be turn into a bear. Perhaps re-watch Brave.
@@raventhesadbirdy4197 They mean "like Merida" because she was the one who made the bad deal, not her mom. Mordu made the bad deal with the witch and had to deal with the consequences, so he's like Merida, not Merida's mom

For some reason UP death gave so much anxiety and fear as a kid, especially just being in the air and falling so far down
Well yes ofc. Falling from that height would be terrifying
It's because of the feeling, you see this height where the characters are and you feel the same thing.
Same. I hate the thought of blood since I have a phobia of it, and if we saw him hit the bottom irl, there would be blood, so i got scared of that death too, not that I felt bad, just scared of the blood (。•́︿•̀。)
Because it was so simple. There’s no dramatic fall with music he just falls. Makes you almost feel like you could fall out of a plane that easily
Wait, isn't he alive in the after credits scene?
The UP death was shocking as a kid watching in the theaters. I remember it making my heart jump, the was the closest real death that was shown in an animated movie I had seen.

@@DeletedDevilDeletedAngel Tarzan is not Pixar
Wow Pixar really does find the most sadistic ways to kill people in their movies.
And I am all for it
Auto didn't die. He was never alive.
True!
True lol. This guy is reaching here. However, the movie had robots gaining self awareness and definitely portrayed them (at least the heros) as being more then machines. So maybe you could say the robots were alive depending on you definition of alien. Either way, auto wasn’t destroyed. They just turned him off so he didn’t die lol
Also he wasn't necessarily a villain, he was just doing what he broke programming told him to do
@@pancakes8539 Some robots definitely were alive because they developed a personality and emotions that went beyond their programming, like Eve and Wallie. However, you are right about Auto. He never had self-awareness or his own individual goals. Auto was just a normal robot who was following his programming to keep the humans safe on the ship.
Debatable. Life is a very strange concept. Go play Nier and come back.

I still think the most brutalist death in Disney is when the villain from princess and the frog literally gets sucked into hell- (p.s after seeing Tarzan I still don’t know what one is worse-)
i love that scene
Well there’s also when the villain from Tarzan is literally hung and you can see his hanging shadow in the lightning.
I've been dragged to hell but I always come back
-William Afton
The Tarzan one is worse
Tarzan scared me, and Princess of the frog didn't . I only reason i get scared of disney/pixar deaths is if Blood would occur in real life. I have a phobia of blood. For example, if a villian/ any character gets stabbed in the head, even if I dont see blood, I will think of it solely because in real life there would be. I think of blood and I get scared. I just can't stop myself frpm thinking of it during these brutal disney or pixar deaths.
Bro found the 144p McDonald’s security cam footage
I love how they almost never try to bring up death but when they do THEY LITERALLY MAKE THE MOST BRUTAL DEATHS OF THEM ALL

I just realized how ironic it is that Ernesto's last song was Remember Me, right before dying.
They did remember him... for a while. Not anymore lmao
No idea why they didn't just get rid of the statue
Is that irony? Id call it a coincidence
A very unfortunate coincidence
Pixar really went brutal with the deaths back in the early days. Imagine getting eaten alive, shredded to nothing but sinew by a plane turbine, and having your entire body splattered against the ground after falling from the sky, where no one will ever find you. Makes Ernesto's death by a bell falling on him seem so comedic in comparison.

Are we NOT going to talk about the iconic Tarzan scene
A lot of people dying from falling bells recently…
Well, Hopper is not dead, if you see the credit scenes of the movie they shows all having some kind of bloopers, and everybody there was like an actor, including him. Therefore the actions of the movie were pure theatrical even for animation movie standards. Honestly the "bloopers'' is what makes it one of my favorite movies of all times
So what you're saying is that the bloopers imply that the movie was acted and he didn't actually die
Isn't Disney/Pixar a kids franchise?
