Got a Sportage on Motability - of the deals available to us the Sportage was by far the best vehicle even in base spec, and we've been really happy with it. Eager to see how this one progresses. Good luck.
I thought you were going to say about £4000 purchase price so that's a good deal. I got a Cat N Mini last year with similar looking damage... had to carve open two slots in the bonnet to get it off! but the chassis was bent so I had to get rid back into the auction. I think the assessors just go on photos these days - no comeback for us when they are structurally damaged but recorded as Cat N. It had the same thing with the a/c pipes and aux belt damage. It looks like you got a fairly easy repair there, especially if you can get the parts in colour.
Good to see one of the Korean motors being repaired Phil. Had one as a hire motor for a few weeks a few years ago, solid motor, but a little agricultural. If you get lucky with front end, jobs a good un👍 Miscellaneous parts could be tasty though. Good luck mate 👍😎
A friend of mine loves these cars and has this model currently. He loves it. Nice to see next project arrive. Here’s looking forward to next episode. 👍🏻🇬🇧
Think being the UK's Samcrac might be a bit of a challenge! you could probably get some chickens to run around your unit but the Florida sunshine in Bury might be a bridge too far!🙂 Looks like a great new project that will need quite a bit of work! Good that you are branching out on the type of cars you fix, more variety will bring more subscribers IMO.
Hi Phil. Kia have made some interesting and appealing models in recent years. This one on the face of it looks to be a bit of a challenge. But you will make it look a breeze to do. 🤞🤞. See you in the next one. 👍👍
Nice work Phil, looking forward to this one. I'd guess it was a rising bollard that might have done that but because of it we're getting some great content so I'm not complaining! 🤣🤣
Hi mick, I bought a cheap Chinese hot stapler off off amazon, turned out to be a great bit of kit!. Doubt it would hold up to constant use but I hardly use it, bought 2 replacement headlights for this 👍
Love the new project. No-one else has done one of these. Any updates on the Suzuki, Fiesta and Fiat 500, it's been a while. But great to see you back, was getting worried therefor a while. 👍👍
Great video phil,I'm not a hater or anything like that as watch and give a thumbs up to every video but I would have thought you would be better to get the Suzuki and the fiesta st finished and sold and start from scratch also you said that you wouldn't do the mini door repair yet as your trying to move house yet you buy this one with a fair bit of damage which yes ok in the end you will make a profit but as your not spending that much time it's going to take a long time and I understand its content for us and the channel but just wondering what your thought process was?I know it's not my problem or anything just curious, still gave you a thumbs up and watched every second of the video 👍
What can I say, can't help my self Mark haha... Swift parts are at paint shop I get them back tomorrow, the fiesta st is still causing me issues. I have a spare few days coming up so I bought this and another car use up my days on. Should be easy enough this one and gone in no time 👍
Thanks Phil for the Kia wow the damage 😮👀 but what is the mileage for this '15? and please check the oil before starting maybe off camera thank fuck it has oil 🤞🔧👍
Yes , camara is fine .... More than could be said for the car , another lot of work pal , but i think you will get it done ,, whole front end ??? Is that with all rad / &intercooler ?? /&aircon , wow , pricey i would think , oh & dash too , god price close to 2 k ??? . Hope not .. good luck .. will be watching ...
Frank, i've been using grinders daily for over 15 years. i appreciate someone showing concern but i'm not always in the mood to explain my self. I have watched it back and it does appear that my fingers are in front of the blade but i can assure you there not, i can only presume it looks that way because of the wide lens? My left thumb is also on the grinder, that's for 2 reasons. Firstly to steady the grinder and secondly so that if the grinder did try to run forwards my left hand goes forwards with it. The proper way would be to hold the grinder with 2 hands , or with one and the other well out of the way, but this is the way i feel works for me and its served me well so far. These 12v grinders don't have a lot of power, or not mine anyway... If it does grip it doesn't run forwards it just stops the motor turning and doesn't move. Other than the grinding, i hope you enjoyed the rest of the video.
Yeah since when did we start referring to damaged cars as cat cars. Either damaged or damaged repaired or listed on the v car. Half these amateur RUclipsrs ain’t a jar of glue
Excellent Phil, this car will certainly get your channel numbers up.
Love the Sportage 😊

One slip of that grinder and you would have some nice stumps for fingers
I was cringing watching how he was holding it 😳
@@stephenparry5894 he was cupping the sparks like stopping water when washing a spoon
Great series of videos coming here, Phil! 😄
Nice car your wide lens is much better keep doing it . Good luck with the rebuild 👍
Nice motor really looking forward to this rebuild as your standards are so high 👍🏻
Great video and looking forward to seeing how this project comes along

Yep they do, I have one!

Good project Phil looking forward to seeing how it goes
Great video Phil this will be a good one looking forward to seeing it getting done 👍
Nice looking car. Should be straightforward but hey there’s always a curve ball on the horizon with salvage 😁
White Car King…must be nearly 10 on the channel. Love it

If I had 10% of samcracs production skills I'd be happy ! The man's a genius...
Already one step ahead of Samcrac as he hasn't got a lift.
@@philtowle4683 Very true - recently watched him changing the clutch on his Aston Martin with the car on axle stands - looked alarming to me!
Nice little build buddy, peace from the Barnsley massive 💪.
Wow that lense is way better Phil 👍
Nice to see different cars on the channel Phil. 👍
Hi Phil.
You need a bigger key for that bonnet lock , dont yer.
lol.
Nice to see you back on line.
Hull lad
Nice buy Phil, be interesting how much you payed for it!!!! And now we know!!!!! Good buy mate.
Look into plastic welding , you could save yourself a few bob on those headlight tabs , I’ve managed to save quite a bit repairing broken plastic.
Great video Phil how hell that not cat s crazy looking forward you building this one good luck mate 👍

My kind of car Phil. As long as can get the parts and don't make a loss, happy days.
Something very different, excellent choice Kia/Hyundai parts are expensive probably explains why is it wasn't repaired.
Nice work Phil, looking forward to this one. I'd guess it was a rising bollard that might have done that but because of it we're getting some great content so I'm not complaining! 🤣🤣
Can’t believe how different this looks with the front off 😂😂 100% could not tell what it was from your instagram
Hey xx
good video phil looking forward to you stripping it down and fixing it
Another Brill video Phil, could you tell me where you get you're headlamp tab repairs kits from please.
Hi mick, I bought a cheap Chinese hot stapler off off amazon, turned out to be a great bit of kit!.

I was worried for your hand watching that
Whats happening with the st mate ? Glad to see your back 👍
is that drivers door to wing gap a little tight at the bottom caused by the chassis slightly down? anyway good to see another new vid mate.
0:01 ohhh no your fingers by the cutting wheel 😯
Love the new project. No-one else has done one of these. Any updates on the Suzuki, Fiesta and Fiat 500, it's been a while. But great to see you back, was getting worried therefor a while. 👍👍
Going to make a nice car , looking forward to following this .
Should be an interesting repair.. Alex.
Using a grinder like that is going to bite one day
Be interesting to see how you get on with this. Not my cup of tea but still should be good.
Keep up the great videos 👍
looking forward to see how you get on Phil
Gap between drivers door and wing at bottom looks close.
I noticed that was good at the top of the door but tight at the bottom
Your not wrong 🙂 I've got a complete front end coming with wings so will see when I get it full stripped 👍
Definitely very strange damage maybe they've hit something lying in a lane on the motorway 🤔🤔
Lot of money in parts there Phil second hand not cheep washer bottle alone will be silly money
Washer bottle I've got for 25 quid bud, complete front end on the way as well.
Money was reasonable as well if I'm honest on the parts 👍
looks a good one phil, big job?

Cracking video 👍keep them coming
Thanks Phil for the Kia wow the damage 😮👀 but what is the mileage for this '15? and please check the oil before starting maybe off camera thank fuck it has oil 🤞🔧👍

What happened to the white focus st estate that you kept as the family car?
What’s the selling price on the ST and the Suzuki?? Interest me a lot
What's a sand crack then and where did the term come from?
Samcrac, he's a youtuber. Check him out 👍
Looking forward to this one @phil
All good mate
Got a nice car here 👌 😎
looks like nice content that phil
Phil, you've obviously deleted the comments about your reckless use of the cutting disc. You need to be able to take the rough with the smooth mate.

Did you get samcracs step mum on board??
If only 😀
Hi Phil will this car be for sale I could do with a 4x4? Cheers mark
It's 2wd not 4wd version
Looks like it's hit the end of a crash barrier 🤔
Please buy a torch lol …..
Dose not help Copart are still not allowing members to view vehicles onsite buying blind literally.
Where the mini gone
Do you think you will make profit from this
That’s ripe for a rear damaged parts car. Complete front and airbag set all in one go.
DOES ANYONE HERE KNOW WHAT THE ELECTRICALPLUG IS ON TOP OF THE CRASH REINFORCEMENT BAR.
I have one Phil , Nice drive and 50mpg
See if kia will repair it under the 7 year warranty
Haha, would be nice wouldn't it 😁
You will fix it
👍👍🇦🇺
they dont know what they are doing to cat cars mate use less people
What’s a cat car ?
Insurance write off categories. N should be non structural S structural.
