"While I was making that decision, you were off sleeping with my best friend" Tom has hurt Lynette so bad. He should be the one telling her about the affair rather he thought "oh we had broken up, means nothing, so let's sleep with her best friend" what a baby.
Why is Lynette surprised she knows how Tom is he had a secret child and cheated on his ex with Lynette. I know the writers don't really connect all the history story well but still.
OMG you're right I never thought about that. Then they never talk about Kayla again after the 5 year jump. They should have never done that story it was so stupid.
Ross and Rachel where you at? These two were "on a break" as well and as usual the guy pokes his thing in the next available hole he finds. Tom may be the best looking guy on the street but he is no man of the month. He hurt Lynette so bad. First he sleeps with her best friend..and also has a baby with another woman before marrying Lynette and guess what he hides all of this from her and then he gets freaking mad at her for the Rick thing.. Gosh Tom grow up.

Lynette overreacted. It was two decades ago. Speaking as a wife, yes, I'd be upset, but there comes a time where you need to let things go. Honestly, it's different with Tom though, he really got around before they married. Example: Crazy Nora and her daughter. Tom's child. Tom's childish behavior. Etc. Etc.
TheWolves24 it doesn't matter. He should have told her at least. Besides it's different if it was a random girl. It was her best friend. That's so out of line.
In this type of situation, I’d rather not be told. We weren’t together, we were taking a break. If a “hook up” made you realize you still wanted me and not someone else...good.
So when you take a break it's okay to go after the best friend and then not tell ? I'm not a boomer but I damned well understand that it is a toxic move.

I love Lynette and Tom so much 😂😍
must understand that the "we were on a break" stuff is common to all good TV shows😅😅😅
I m wonder if Tom was actually gonna let her daughter eat it if Lynette didn’t react
They copied Friends series. One of their most famous lines from Ross - "We were on a break!!!" 😆
Tom did wrong.
Tom let Penny have the brownie to see what Lynette would do. Lynette tried to make Tom sick to his stomach.
Whats song she sing?🙂
Laura P it's a nursery rhyme( I have been working on the rail road. )

Another taking a break vs broken up..
I like how she forgives her friend just like that but has to put tom through all that shit to get over her anger bit two faced
Because her friend told her. Tom didn't. That's the difference.

Tom has always been an asshole without consideration the whole show
Jeez! It happened 20 years ago.. Who cares?:P I can understand Lynette's anger of course but she had no right to do all these stupid things to Tom :-(
Yeah but to keep it a secret for 20 years and not tell her about sleeping with her best friend is pretty messed up too
Its called hoovering, what she does in the end...
Lynette is evil
