Reading about the production of his "Othello" is one of the main reasons I wanted to become a film editor almost 20 years ago. I didn't make it to film but cut a lot of TV in that time. I thank Mr Welles for setting me off on that adventure!

Any man who is so imaginative and creative speech maker, as Orson Welles was, he must be an interesting man. I never feel bored listening to him. On the contrary his words fascinate and inform me more than anybody i know.
Orson Welles was truly an artist and a magician (magus).

Orson is so humble about his work compared to Shakespeare. I really admire him for that. He’s one of the most interesting people to have ever lived.

I was honored to have Welles adapt my chapter on his Othello (roughly 11:38 - 17:22) in Shakespeare on Film. I thought very highly of Chimes at Midnight too. -- Jack Jorgens

Ethereal, you have to love Shakespeare which you end up doing if you are exposed to it - Orson is also psychologically ahead of the audience etc. Makes it a little tough on a normal audience

I dont see jalousy in Jagos sick passion, but envy. Jalousy has still a bit of love, envy on the other hand only greed.
