Man I wish you lived nearby. You are so incredible. Building my first TK ever and I'm so lost muddling through it. Helmet done. Moving on to the right bicep and forearm, but I'm so afraid of cutting the armor being I don't have any spares if I make a mistake. :D Some serious shit with no other TK's in my area.
Thanks so much! Where are you based? There must be someone local that could help. If you’ve already done the helmet, that’s usually the hardest part. The limbs are actually easier :)
@@pandapropsncostumes Hi my buddy. Yea I know, but I figured I had to get at least ONE instant satisfaction. :D I'm in Lima, Ohio. Apparently I must be in the boondocks or a wasteland apparently with the Ohio Garrison. It's lonely out here. :) God if you were anywhere nearby I'd be on the phone every night. :D How does this work, where did you get those decals for the tubes, Whats the best way to cut the bells, help I need someone to mark my bicep parts while I'm holding them together, do I need to do something special with the thighs, how the heck to I measure this, come to think of it, it's probably better for you that your not. lol.. OMG you would be a Godsend and a true friend for life :D THIS is so hard. I mean, no spare parts. If I screw up - well - hmm. And it's so easy to do. Just takes one wrong cut my bro. I love your work and I love how thorough you are. And thanks for the tip about the under armor. Still gotta pick that up yet. imgur.com/k1aAmAP imgur.com/nFxDDKD
So question Panda, I'm working on my bicep right now and it's like an 1" to 1-1/2" too big for my right arm. Now, the way I understand it, I can trim off 1/2" from one side of the outer/tricep and 1/2" on the other side of the outer just to keep things in symmetry. I did measure with a ruler the gap between armor and my arm on the backside and it was an inch to inch and a half. I'm of the understanding that I never remove material from the inner plate. Is that the correct procedure? Just wanting to confirm before marking and cutting. I intend to cut 1" total and see how it fits after that. Is that gambling too much or should I go 1/4" each side instead and refit? I tried asking this on the 1st Imperial ST division but no replys and I'm kinda wanting to get SOMETHING done today. :)

Ugh, yea - move closer to me. :D Now I believe I found that the cover strip material is possibly made of ABS, while my armor is PVC. The more I work on this armor, the more aggravated I get. imgur.com/I2riOj0

Great video. Did you remove the protection film from the armor before gluing?
Yes, you have to remove the protective lining before gluing.

What make of armor is it? Is there a formed ridge where the cover strip should go?

Hello my name is Kevin Greenfield ok can you tell me where you get the magnets from for the storm trooper armour ? keV storm trooper.
Kevin Greenfield Lee Valley has rare earth magnets. You can also get them on Amazon etc. Also search for neodymium magnets
@@pandapropsncostumes ok thankyou
Where did you purchase the sheet for your cover strips? My kit didn't come with anything extra really and I'm having trouble finding anything.
you could get some plastic signage like the for sale signs etc and just cut to size
