    You might wanna use Tweaks Galore to fix that steel issue. Steel being flammable is dumb.

      This is very similar yeah! But also I think more in fitting with Rimworld, and it's also another mod that I don't have to add to an ever increasing list 😂

    I played a scenario similar to this but with some defenses-adding mods. Still got wrecked eventually :(

      hmmm... the defense-adding mods I used were Fortifications - Neolithic, Sloped Walls (actually not that applicable when the threat is shamblers, since they block line of fire but don't block movement, like reverse embrasures: awesome for making anti-raider defenses but not so much against shamblers who only benefit from not being shot at, and often just nibble at the slopes instead of walking over them), ReBuild, Vanilla Furniture Expanded, and Uncle Boris's Used Furniture.
      I'm not gonna spoil how to make good defenses with those mods tho. It wouldn't be as fun to see someone just copying what I say instead of figuring things out themselves.
      That said, I was also using the following mods:
      Shamblers Hate Wildlife. During death palls, shamblers attack wildlife, which then dies and joins their ranks.
      A shambler faction mod I forgor the name of, and which seems to have disappeared from the workshop.
      Alpha Genes, which adds mutations to shamblers that can make them much more dangerous (seriously, total nightmare).
      Shamblers Expanded: Runner.
      And the VE Weapons, Apparel and Armour collection.
      So I have no idea where things will sit balance-wise. Depending on how smart with the defenses you are you might suddenly find it super easy, and then want to either up the difficulty, or add shambler-enhancing mods like the ones I've mentioned.

      Shambles hate wildlife is probably the most exciting one of those for me... And endless cycle of wildlife death. I wouldn't be able to farm unless I bought some animals! I like the idea though! Feels torturous

      The shambler hordes get very, very big.
      I ended up [REDACTED: I AIN'T TELLING YOU A THING FIGURE IT OUT YOURSELF] to be able to tame myself some muffalos.

      The event is actually part of the game but it usually only lasts 3 days. :) it's part of anomaly dlc!

      The scenario is based game, you can edit and add a permanent game condition completely in vanilla (with dlc)
