They can help you with school, financial aid, housing, technology and so much more, for free! I hope you taking a new route will help get you away from a dangerous lifestyel. I know it's fun, but it's supposed to be fun. I hope you never use money and buying nice things for yourself or others to convince yourself that it was worth the work. This cannot end well especially with all the sick people out there. Prostitutes with zero handicaps get beaten, raped, and murdered in the streets. What can be more tantalizing to the psychos that perpetuate these crimes than a prostitute who will never be able to identify them? @@monas devices are made to be blind-friendly; for example you can set your settings to read out everything on the screen for you. I would use this setting when I had a long research paper due and I didn't want to sit there and proofread with just my eyes. Hearing it made it easier for me. Also the main keys on the keyboard have a 'small dot' in order to help you know where the keys are without having to look at it.

At first glance no. I don’t know if you ever seen a blind person out of this interview but usually their eye are all over the place, like it’s from poor muscle control or something. Her eye muscle control isn’t as bad I. Some cases. That said, you have plenty of able bodied women who aren’t blind and still end up hurt or worse. It’s just what comes with the lifestyle.
I have mixed emotions about this. My heart hurts for her. I feel like she's hiding a lot of pain behind her bubbly personality. But I also feel like she's well aware of the choices she's making. @@angie-kbm I’m an “old girl” and I don’t use drugs. But that’s only because I have been through addiction already. Not too many women go through that and come out the other side, without having to quit. I wouldn’t recommend it, either. There are too many things that can go wrong. Unless they’re in a Nevada brothel or somewhere they don’t have to worry about safety and getting legals. I just have some disabilities that I haven’t received any financial help with. But I’ve got school on the front burner, for later. My man squared up first, and now he’s supportive of me doing this. So it’s a little easier for me cause I’m not out there on my own. Plus, I am in my 40s. You want to get your exit strategy sooner than that, definitely!
Especially if you feel like you can control it. Its almost like you are taking some power back in a messed up way by saying "Now I can decide whether I want to put myself in danger!" as opposed to when you were younger and others decided for you.
She’s got a lot she’s pushing under the surface. She’s learned to cope with her life by sweeping her feelings under the rug. That’s okay to remain optimistic about life it’s important, but it’s important she deals with her pain. She doesn’t feel safe with anyone disclosing her emotions, and something taught her to do that. I think Mark should do a follow up.
i really dont believe theres anything shes hiding. i just think she hasnt been doing this long enough to realize how dangerous this could be and most importnatly where it would lead her eventually. shes only been doing it a year. thats nothing. i hope she gets out of there while shes still young. i hope things work out so she ends up going to college. she seems like a nice sweet person

She talks a great game but like u said she needs to channel all of this somewhere else thats much safer & that can place her in a better position in life. Her nervous laugh is a massive cover up. She’s so beautiful & pleasant hoping she can find a way out of this sad life. She needs to get to the bottom of her trauma.
She said she's doing what she enjoys. Some girls really enjoy the street life and fast money. She gets paid more money than you and I PUT TOGETHER. It's not uncommon for some girls to make $1,000 to $2,000 per night.
Hopefully they just start leaving kids with their families unless the abuse is severe. I swear allot of the abused kids turn out better than the foster system.
It's sad to watch a girl that you know is going to be chewed up and spit out by a crooked, evil world. It's like watching someone play with a hand grenade and there's nothing you can do about it.

I don't think her laugh is nervous...I think she's generally a giggly person. She doesn't truly realize the same dangers that we do. Like you I am scared for her. I talked to a homeless vietnam veteran and I asked him how he remained so happy even though he's homeless and after serving his country. He said that God gave him many opportunities in life and that he was thankful for those opportunities and by having a negative mindset all the time, it doesn't accomplish anything. He's already reached a low point of his life so far and he's still healthy he says.

This was my best friend all through high school and some of college. I’m so sad to see this is where she has gone with her choices in life. I would hate for something to happen to her. The way she tells it..she's living the dream. She did speak one truth: your self esteem comes from within. Some of us never get that truth and we look for it outside. As a blind woman, we have limitations. But I understand the mentality of wanting to prove yourself, wanting to show the world that you’re just like everybody else. But the fact is, we aren’t. We do the best we can, we do adapt, we are amazing problem solvers and find different ways of doing things, and we don’t let anything stop us but denying that things are more difficult is harmful in the long run. That’s a fact. That’s what I did for many years until it really hit me mental health wise. I’m still trying to find my way out of it and really praying for this girl as many other comments have said I think she’s really hiding her pain and that is such a bad thing. it’s not about being babied, it’s about being aware and able to deal with things that are actually based in reality. When you suppress it it’s going to come out in really bad ways. That’s what I learned anyway. And she is more vulnerable, again she can’t deny that once you are aware of the vulnerability you can take precautions to lessen it but if you’re unaware or pretending that it’s not a thing you’re in so much more danger and you are so much more vulnerable then as well. Let alone the fact that she is working the streets, this is without any of that taken into consideration. When you add that to the mix, it’s a recipe for disaster. I really hope that she gets the help she needs and changes her life and has the incentive to work through what she needs to. There are many visually impaired people that played down their visual impairment due to internalised ablism but in the end it always comes back to get them. I hope she gets to the stage where she has self acceptance and embraces it.

Mark when you suggested to Nautica to use her handicap to gain sympathy in her work, that was the worst advice you can give to a handicapped person. Luckily Nautica is smart enough to shoot down that idea at once. We love your interviews but this video should serve as a reminder to you and a lot of folks not understanding how hard it is living with a handicap, I speak from experience. A few comments suggest that Nautica won't do to well in her line of work, one thing she has going for herself, is her attitude. She is so positive, it is refreshing, no pity party for this girl. Thanks again Mark for your work, we believe you are making a positive difference in some of these peoples lifes, not a lot of folks take the time to care about folks at the other end of the "norm".

Generally after they have been doing it for a while it takes a toll. You can tell she's new because she's not on drugs, clean and well put together after a while on the streets relaxing running into undesribles, it begins to take a toll on the soul which then appearance goes downhill after that. She is young and vibrant and sweet and attractive so she is making good money now. This doesn't last forever

I think we're acclimated to hearing the horror stories...maybe some prostitutes actually enjoy what they do and haven't or may never really taste the bad side especially if drugs are not involved and they aren't always in survival mode...This girl sounds she's honestly enjoying that lifestyle and the trauma she's faced may not be from prostitution but from the fact that she's had to live through foster care and overcoming the feeling of neglect and being thrown away...what she's doing isn't bad especially she's not forced, what's bad are the laws that are in place to force people like her to go underground and be put in danger
I was trying to figure this girl out and it reminds me a lot of a girl I worked with who had an intellectual disability (a low IQ) very talkative and “street smart”. Praying that she is safe and finds good people who want to help her.
You can tell she's new and still in the "honeymoon" phase of SWork. She said "It's so easy" "I mean it's fun" She seems so naive and now she's broadcasting to the world that she is vision impared which makes her a target😔There are many ways (legal ways) to make $ in the SW industry these days safely. I’m from Iowa! I live about 50 minutes from Des Moines. I watch SWUB every day and if people are willing to listen I tell them how humbling and eye opening the SWUB channel is. Born in Minnesota and raised in Iowa it’s hard to comprehend the homelessness/addiction/prostitution that goes on in the bigger cities and how childhood trauma is almost the key root to struggles people go through everyday of their lives. I grew up with a very narcissist/prescription pill addicted father and I’m very blessed to not have taken a different path from the trauma I endured. This channel has helped me understand in a whole new way and if I can spread the message I will.
Quick money goes quickly. She has such a beautiful spirit I hope she sees her true worth soon before the lifestyle destroys her. It only takes one bad incident to change a life forever.
I never in a MILLION years did I ever think I would see someone I actually knew on this channel. I've been watching Mark for a couple years. My family gifted her (bio) Mother a car when she was just a young girl. She is correct her (bio) Mother was young and was doing the level best she could for her young children. Now I loved this, I am totally blind and I lived in the streets of San francisco, oakland and l.a and new york. I was a crack addict, drunk and a smoker. I know how hard it is to do this work but I also know that blind people have something special from God that protects us. Yes, this is so wonderful for you to show this and I to can do everything independently

Does anybody not know that she is going based off her heightened senses since she can’t see physically. That could be why she seems so positive and “naive”. Yes this field of work is dangerous, and I know because I’m slowly working my way out of it but the only reason why I haven’t been in certain situations as some girls was because I listened to my intuition. She has been in survival mode for so long that dangerous encounters is a daily routine. Every harmful/hurtful/painful situation eventually becomes “not that bad.” She’s screaming in agony on the inside but on the outside, she must show no weakness even by pretending that a very obvious impairment is “not that obvious.” It’s super sad but I recognize her and I wish for her peace, love and happiness ❤️

After seeing Ginger the other day, it's scary to see Nautica out there on her own. She did mention that she has friends who watch out for her, so that's good. I hope she doesn't get addicted to the lifestyle. If she can save enough to get an apartment, she may be able to get aid for college because of her disability. She can get in-state tuition rates if she's: been in Cali for a year, has a straight job and plans to live there afterward. You have to tell them all of that. Good Nautica.

They can help you with school, financial aid, housing, technology and so much more, for free! I hope you taking a new route will help get you away from a dangerous lifestyel. I know it's fun, but it's supposed to be fun. I hope you never use money and buying nice things for yourself or others to convince yourself that it was worth the work. @@monas devices are made to be blind-friendly; for example you can set your settings to read out everything on the screen for you. I would use this setting when I had a long research paper due and I didn't want to sit there and proofread with just my eyes. Hearing it made it easier for me. Also the main keys on the keyboard have a 'small dot' in order to help you know where the keys are without having to look at it.

Not too many women go through that and come out the other side, without having to quit. I wouldn’t recommend it, either. There are too many things that can go wrong. Unless they’re in a Nevada brothel or somewhere they don’t have to worry about safety and getting legals. I just have some disabilities that I haven’t received any financial help with. But I’ve got school on the front burner, for later. My man squared up first, and now he’s supportive of me doing this. So it’s a little easier for me cause I’m not out there on my own. Plus, I am in my 40s. You want to get your exit strategy sooner than that, definitely!

I talked to a homeless vietnam veteran and I asked him how he remained so happy even though he's homeless and after serving his country. He said that God gave him many opportunities in life and that he was thankful for those opportunities and by having a negative mindset all the time, it doesn't accomplish anything. He's already reached a low point of his life so far and he's still healthy he says.

As a blind woman, we have limitations. But I understand the mentality of wanting to prove yourself, wanting to show the world that you’re just like everybody else. But the fact is, we aren’t. We do the best we can, we do adapt, we are amazing problem solvers and find different ways of doing things, and we don’t let anything stop us but denying that things are more difficult is harmful in the long run. That’s a fact. That’s what I did for many years until it really hit me mental health wise. I’m still trying to find my way out of it and really praying for this girl as many other comments have said I think she’s really hiding her pain and that is such a bad thing. it’s not about being babied, it’s about being aware and able to deal with things that are actually based in reality. When you suppress it it’s going to come out in really bad ways. That’s what I learned anyway. And she is more vulnerable, again she can’t deny that once you are aware of the vulnerability you can take precautions to lessen it but if you’re unaware or pretending that it’s not a thing you’re in so much more danger and you are so much more vulnerable then as well. Let alone the fact that she is working the streets, this is without any of that taken into consideration. When you add that to the mix, it’s a recipe for disaster. I really hope that she gets the help she needs and changes her life and has the incentive to work through what she needs to. There are many visually impaired people that played down their visual impairment due to internalised ablism but in the end it always comes back to get them. I hope she gets to the stage where she has self acceptance and embraces it.

I love that's she has good energy and is a free spirit, but unfortunately in this type of work, she being a bit naïve and complacent and very bad things can happen if she continues to let her guard down.
I loved her energy, her spirit. For a person who’s partially impaired to have such a positive outlook on life. A lot of what she’s saying can touch someone regardless of someone’s background

Mark when you suggested to Nautica to use her handicap to gain sympathy in her work, that was the worst advice you can give to a handicapped person. Luckily Nautica is smart enough to shoot down that idea at once. We love your interviews but this video should serve as a reminder to you and a lot of folks not understanding how hard it is living with a handicap, I speak from experience.
A few comments suggest that Nautica won't do to well in her line of work, one thing she has going for herself, is her attitude. She is so positive, it is refreshing, no pity party for this girl.
Thanks again Mark for your work, we believe you are making a positive difference in some of these peoples lifes, not a lot of folks take the time to care about folks at the other end of the "norm".
I was honestly shocked when he thought people would be nicer to her bc she's blind... people literally abuse babies. The world is evil, some individuals either won't care or take advantage of the fact she's blind.

Generally after they have been doing it for a while it takes a toll. You can tell she's new because she's not on drugs, clean and well put together after a while on the streets relaxing running into undesribles, it begins to take a toll on the soul which then appearance goes downhill after that. She is young and vibrant and sweet and attractive so she is making good money now. This doesn't last forever

She's just like me when I was younger. She's blocking all the traumatic experiences out, but some day it'll all come out and it won't be pretty. And if she doesn't stop, her chances of danger are getting higher and higher. But it's addicting and reprogramming your brain to have a normal job after this really sucks because the difference in money is substantial. Praying for her

I think we're acclimated to hearing the horror stories...maybe some prostitutes actually enjoy what they do and haven't or may never really taste the bad side especially if drugs are not involved and they aren't always in survival mode...This girl sounds she's honestly enjoying that lifestyle and the trauma she's faced may not be from prostitution but from the fact that she's had to live through foster care and overcoming the feeling of neglect and being thrown away...what she's doing isn't bad especially she's not forced, what's bad are the laws that are in place to force people like her to go underground and be put in danger

I was trying to figure this girl out and it reminds me a lot of a girl I worked with who had an intellectual disability (a low IQ) very talkative and “street smart”. Praying that she is safe and finds good people who want to help her.
You can tell she's new and still in the "honeymoon" phase of SWork. She said "It's so easy" "I mean it's fun" She seems so naive and now she's broadcasting to the world that she is vision impared which makes her a target😔There are many ways (legal ways) to make $ in the SW industry these days safely. Street work is the most dangerous for many reasons. I hope she stays vigilant and doesn't let her guard down if this is what she chooses to continue to do. I’m from Iowa! I live about 50 minutes from Des Moines. I watch SWUB every day and if people are willing to listen I tell them how humbling and eye opening the SWUB channel is. Born in Minnesota and raised in Iowa it’s hard to comprehend the homelessness/addiction/prostitution that goes on in the bigger cities and how childhood trauma is almost the key root to struggles people go through everyday of their lives. I grew up with a very narcissist/prescription pill addicted father and I’m very blessed to not have taken a different path from the trauma I endured. This channel has helped me understand in a whole new way and if I can spread the message I will.

Now I loved this, I am totally blind and I lived in the streets of San francisco, oakland and l.a and new york. I was a crack addict, drunk and a smoker. I know how hard it is to do this work but I also know that blind people have something special from God that protects us. Yes, this is so wonderful for you to show this and I to can do everything independently

Does anybody not know that she is going based off her heightened senses since she can’t see physically. That could be why she seems so positive and “naive”. Yes this field of work is dangerous, and I know because I’m slowly working my way out of it but the only reason why I haven’t been in certain situations as some girls was because I listened to my intuition. She has some vision. A large percentage of people who are blind have some percent of partial vision.
She has been in survival mode for so long that dangerous encounters is a daily routine. Every harmful/hurtful/painful situation eventually becomes “not that bad.” She’s screaming in agony on the inside but on the outside, she must show no weakness even by pretending that a very obvious impairment is “not that obvious.” It’s super sad but I recognize her and I wish for her peace, love and happiness ❤️

After seeing Ginger the other day, it's scary to see Nautica out there on her own. She did mention that she has friends who watch out for her, so that's good. I hope she doesn't get addicted to the lifestyle. If she can save enough to get an apartment, she may be able to get aid for college because of her disability. She can get in-state tuition rates if she's: been in Cali for a year, has a straight job and plans to live there afterward. You have to tell them all of that. Good Nautica.
