Best movie ever. Classic
"Better stronger faster it is BETTER"
Do you know why the factory looks different in childs play 3
2 hrs after post? Have the Stars aligned or what
There is something really heartbreaking about imagining little kid Alex Vincent thinking "I'm not as cute as I was". It goes to show that child stars are forced to look at themselves and their lives in such a cynical and money-driven way when they're not even old enough to spend the money they're making.
ikr
Wouldn't be surprised if that happened to the Olsen twins...
Those poor girls were tortured for 18 years before managing to leave it behind...
I wanna kill the pricks who mistreated them!
Right?! Because Alex Vincent was still and adorable child idk what anyone says. He's still a damn cute kid
its pretty traumatizing :(
@@KaiDrawsShit03💀
Kyle and Andy's sibling bond is truly wholesome, I love how she's the only person who understands his trauma and goes full on big sister mode protecting him from Chucky
Kyle has style too. I adore her.
That's what makes the show so fun to watch having both of them a part of it.
It's amazing that the actors are still playing those roles today. I can't wait for Chucky Season 2.
Reminds me of Jamie & Rachel from Halloween 4
I loved her in this movie
“How’s it hanging Phil?”
Is still one of my favourite lines of the franchise, the way Chucky says it with so much sinister and slyness is awesome. This whole movie is awesome, one of the best sequels ever made
By far the funniest Chucky one liner
I love that line. Its delivery is perfect. Almost casual, very sinister, fucking hilarious.
The traffic stop was definitely hilarious but that delivery of "How's it hanging Phil?", will always be my absolute favorite line in the entire series.
Dark comedy at uts finest
I love the Chucky franchise, and I love this channel so much! I just wanted to say that I've finally managed to graduate this year after five years of battling mental illness and sticking to my studies. I did my dissertation about you and Chelsea, and horror films! Thank you so much for everything Dead Meat has given to this community, and I wish you all nothing but happiness and love!
Woah that's awesome! Congratulations!!
Good good
I know what u mean but haven’t graduated school
I also used Dead Meat and Horror Films in a final essay for one of my University classes! It is truly awesome how much horror brings people together.
That’s incredible! 😃
That moment in the doll factory at the end where Chucky says “What the hell?” and gets bodied by a pile of boxes makes me lose my mind every time. Literally the reason this is my favorite of the series
Andy and Kyle were lucky he didn't know the "soul in multiple bodies" spell then or else a Chucky army would have been after them.
I know right, has to be the funniest shit I've ever seen in the chucky franchise lol
Wow you just brought back some great memories! I watched this for the first time with a couple friends (we were maybe 16 or so. I’m 33 now 😭) and when that part came on we were in tears laughing. I can’t tell you how many times we kept rewinding it to play it back over and over again. Laughing so hard it hurt. I think we were pretty high too.
@@mattbolea6194 That's an awesome memory to have :).
For anyone who wants to hear it, it’s at 19:10.
The recounts are great because James understands what his audience likes about the kill count. Honestly he could do a movie with absolutely no kills in it and I don’t think any of his audience would object
They're called the DEAD MEAT podcasts, which are always a joy watching (especially seeing Chelsea more)
@@van8ryan To be fair some people (like myself!) don’t really like watching those longer videos and prefer the humour and explanation in smaller bite videos!
Tru I like these 20min kill counts gives more bts and Easter eggs then the 10 min quick summary he use to do in the beginning
He has done at least one movie with no kills, it was Krampus.
i just like the reviews and the humor ngl
To this day I still use the "I bet I can say your name backwards" joke and it still gets a laugh every time
It's a very cute joke
My favorite Chucky one liner has gotta be when he killed that barber at the Boot Camp “Presto, You’re Dead!” 😂

One of my most favorite lines from the movie 😂
My favorite line is "Hi! I'm....Tommy! And im your friend to the end!" Idk why but the way he said it always makes me replay it
It’s bc he almost made a slip up ?

Yes, my favorite Child’s Play movie, an absolute horror classic 🙌
What should I do with the doll?
same i love the second one
Mine too! I remember my mom taking me to the theater to see this great times!
Same here 😊
2 and 3 are my favorites
Hearing the actor say that as a young child he felt responsible for the movie's success is absolutely heartbreaking to me. That is way too much pressure and responsibility for a seven year old to deal with.
I mean its true thou this series depends on him
Without the child playing
There wouldn't be a childs play
@@Jrsonicyt-is-weird yeah but they could use small ppl and makeup to do that
21:56-22:00 AHH SURPRISE!!!
James saying “stay tuned” when talking about American werewolf in London got me more hyped than I expected lol. Been waiting for this one. Also has the best soundtrack in any horror movie in my opinion
I think the episode of American Werewolf in London comes out next month since i heard James plans to cover the first Wolfman movie
Definitely a good soundtrack! Up there with the gremlins soundtrack for me.
Chucky: Snap out of it! You act like you've never seen a dead body before.
*One Movie Later / Bride Of Chucky*
Chucky: *Screaming at his Skeleton Corpse*
I just rewatched this one, and I love the subtle acting from Andy. Even right at the beginning you just feel that he is a kid that has seen some shit and finally learned to tell the adults what they want to hear.
Brad Dourif's voice acting in this sequel is outstanding. He really know how to make his rage and pain sound so real and believable

Finally got around to watching this movie last night, and oh man it was a fun time. It's so much more fun compared to the first one knowing what Chucky has up his sleeve from the get-go. Best moment was him trying to pretend he was the Tommy doll going "Hi! I'm... 🤔👀 Tommy!"

This isn't about Chucky but its still actuate, guess what it is about
The final act of this movie is the absolute cherry on top of this movie and arguably the entire franchise. A chef’s kiss for ending horror movie sequences.
They literally did an amazing job, adding Chucky and Tiffany to Dead by daylight. And to get brad and Jennifer to voice them while they’re running around. I’ve always had a fear of Chucky. My mom made me watch every horror movie since I was born, and nothing scared me except for Chucky. A kid in preschool said he was going to bring his Chucky to school and I didn’t go to school for a week and the principal had to get involved and everything. 😂
I never noticed that Andy immediately punches Chucky after being untied. I can't stop rewinding it.
Man that whole thing about the director absolutely broke my heart. Rest on piece you kind soul.

For an inexperienced director John made such a good horror movie and a horror classic, rest in peace John Lafia
What happened to him
I loved Kyle so much and I always wished she would’ve been in the next Child’s Play movie. Also, Chucky’s facial expressions were the scariest in all of the movies, it’s why it’s my favorite of all Chucky movies.
Love sibling relationships in movies and the fact that this has an adopted sibling relationship makes it all the more unique. My favorite Childs Play.
The writing on the Kill Counts have always been witty and clever, but lately they are impeccable! The channel continues to be unsurpassed in quality. Great work.
I like finding out more info about Child’s Play. I’ll admit I like seeing new Kill Counts so I can get new movie recs and find out background on my favorites but the Dead Meat team does a great job making recounts seem worthwhile and though I still love the older ones, it’s clear why these recounts are worth it. Thank you James and Dead Meat crew!
18:29 To know that I came back to this video after a Chucky addition to Halloween Horror Nights was announced makes me so happy
Just realized that "pile of dead beef" line is a reference to Phantom of the Paradise! I remember thinking Andy's foster dad looked pretty familiar. Loved Beef's death in that movie, sparks went flying lol
Can't blame the kid for being world weary at such a young age.
I mean if my mom got institutionalized for backing up my story of a killer doll while the cop just denied it, I'd be jaded too.

Fun Fact: this was my first Chucky movie to watch as a child and it introduced me to the franchise. Definitely liked the movie for its kills, humour and it's slasher tone compared to the first one.
BTW, "How's it hangin Phil" gets me in stitches
Can we just appreciate that he’s given us these kill counts so much quicker. I mean yeah its a recount but he is doing this stuff in 3 days 5 days and 2 frickin days.he’s the best.

So glad they're redo'ing the old kill counts... They were fine, but modern Kill Count is more like a 'Making Of' mini documentary, I love it.
Fun fact: Grace Zabriskie, who plays Grace Poole in the movie, played Mrs. Ross on Seinfeld, who was George's fiance Susan's mother. If you watch some of the episodes where she is present, you'll notice a copy of Child's Play 2 on Jerry's shelf in his apartment near his Superman statue.
Just thought I'd share :P
James, your humor and friendly demeanor when it comes to scary things such as horror always brings a smile to my face. You can lighten up a room with nothing but words :)
The one thing I never got about the ending scene is how exactly did the Good Guys company not investigate or review the security footage after Andy and Kyle killed Chucky? A factory that size must have security cameras everywhere and caught Chucky on film trying to murder people and moving on his own. Still one of my favorite endings to a horror movie sequel since the final setting is so intense and Chucky dies in spectacular fashion.
I'm also puzzled at how the forensics seemed to look past the blood from Charles Lee Ray around the factory, too. His blood is everywhere! And only one worker for the graveyard shift?!?!
@@richieboostajr.35 And after the original did the police not wonder why there was blood on the wall next to the burned and headless doll? Because after Norris got his leg patched up his fellow officers would have gone to the Barclay flat and found it. Mattson, the Play Pals employee from this film probably bribed a dirty cop to give him what was left of Chucky since the Child's Play universe's cops are a corrupt lot given how many Tiffany bribed to give her Chucky.
@@richieboostajr.35 i agree with you both… but also, i guess that’s why it’s a movie haha
it was the 80's. cameras werent everywhere, and DNA analysis was pretty new.
Good Guys Co. might just be doing tax write-offs there
I just wanted to say Rest In Peace to the director. He brought so many people happiness with Child’s Play 2. So many people consider it there favorite Chucky movie. I wish he could have gotten the help he needed.
Tom Holland is an extraordinary person, spanning from playing Spider-Man in the MCU to directing Childs Play movies, really crazy stuff, James for some reason keeps putting up pictures of some random dude though which is a little weird.
I just now realized the teacher in this movie is also the teacher in Donnie Darko, I can't believe it took me this long to get the reference. XD
21:59 was so funny! Nice one James!
21:58
The first recount literally sent me off on a Child’s Play rabbit hole. Have been smashing through them all since I saw that first video. Thank for a super interesting vid!
I fall into a Child's Play phase every so often. You're one of us now.
Damn I’m doin da same shit rn too 😂😂💯
This has one of my favorite slightly goofy horror climaxes. It's legit pretty freaky how Chucky keeps on coming after Kyle and Andy and gets injured in increasingly graphic ways, but the setting of the Good Guy factory is so colourful and wacky that it gives a great contrast. Its simple but highly effective!
I just love random behind the scenes facts like how Don Mancini made grits for the actress that played Miss Kettlewell haha
Lol you know I try to avoid facts that are *too* random but that one was just really sweet.
Beth Grant is one of my favourite character actors and does kooky/weird soooo well. Just steals every scene she's in. It's so funny to see interviews and BTS and discover she's actually super normal and nice IRL!
@@DeadMeat i know I thought it was sweet too and I mean I love grits it’s just random

I freaking love your recounts. It shows how far you've come, and how much of genuine love/devotion you have to these movies/movie making
You don’t have to explain yourself for doing recounts. I have been watching this channel for the past couple years, and because of you my love for horror has grown. Watching you grow and this channel grow into what it is now has been so much fun. Thank you for all that you guys do
19:10 LOL that part always cracks me up! “What da hell?!”
AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Also go in slow motion
**gets bodied by boxes**
I love recounts! Because it shows how much James has grown to be more open in the personality department! And the script writing/jokes being more comical than before. Great job James & the dead meat crew!! You guys keep killing it 👏 (no pun intended)
The Child’s Play sequel along with the Bride of Chucky are probably my favorite’s of the whole series and they still scare me till this day. Hat’s off to Don Mancini for making this iconic horror villain we’ve all come to know.
This was the first in the series that really solidified one of the franchise's true joys - watching Chucky get royally effed up.
18:53 The thing is. Chucky was too late and he's now in doll form forever.
15:10 I actually love that original script Idea. I wonder why it was changed.
The director from the og Childs play changed the script a lot to his liking and stuff which the writers did not like and ended up with some tensions and stuff
Sounds like the 2019 remake was pretty similar in that aspect, which is neat.
These recounts are so rich in BTS details! I loved Kyle’s actress talking about having to be at her best at all times because whichever take the DOLL performed best is the take they would use! 😂
I’ve gotta give MAD PROPS to James and the rest of the Dead Meat team for revisiting/recounting this series! They knew damn well that they weren’t gonna get anywhere _near_ the numbers that they originally obtained when they first released the OG Chucky series Kill Counts. And yet here they are, doing it anyway. Due solely to the fact that he/they wanted to put out a video that was equally (if not even _more_ so) entertaining and _considerably_ more detailed and thorough than the original Kill Count series was! _And_ not only are they doing this for the Chucky films, they’ve already done so with the Friday The 13th movies, _and_ are planning on doing the same with the Scream series! (Which I am _incredibly_ excited for as the Scream series is my favorite set of films in all of horror!! Sooo… YAY! lol) Basically, *ALL* of the team members involved in Dead Meat fucking *ROCK* due to _maaaaany_ reasons, and a big one is them ensuring this mega quality entertainment for us fans. Sooo…
*THANK YOU JAMES/CHELSEA/ZORAN AND COMPANY!!!* Y’all are the BEST!
Let's be honest the Blood Buddies concept sounded pretty interesting I love how the movies turned out but the original script doesn't sound to bad would have been interesting to see how different the movies would've been
As a huge horror movie buff. I ALWAYS watch KILL COUNT before the actual film to see if it's worth watching for older films haha and I get to hear all of James' good puns and jokes 😝
I fucking LOVE the Phantom of the Paradise reference. "as a pile of dead beef." I have been DYING to hear James reference the fact that Phil is the same actor who plays Beef in PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE, which is one of the greatest movies ever made. Holy fuck that made my day.
There really *is* a Phantom…
phantom of the paradise kill count when?
Fun fact: there's a alternate ending to the movie where it shows Andy and Kyle leaving the factory and a Frame shot of chuckys face in the wax tub machine and cuts to it remaking the chucky doll with a evil Sinister smile and grin.
i don’t trust dead meat fans who don’t love recounts- thanks for all your hard work!!
5:52 I love how James roasts the scenery of buildings 🤣

LMAO I had a hilarious 5 minute laugh with the small lines there.
"Too bad there's also a GOOD GUY WITH A SWANTON FROM THE TOP SHELF BAH GAWD"
Loving the Child's Play re counts! Part two is definitely my favorite of the series.
I know the quips got annoying way on down the line but “Hows it hanging, Phil.” Is such a good line
the delivery is what really makes it
Honestly big shoutout to James for wanting to take the time to start doing recounts for us. He didn't have to at all and we as the fans were content with the original counts. But he did it anyway just so we could have a better done kill count with more background information about behind the scenes and to make it feel more like his videos now, just for us as fans. Makes me appreciate him more and a person now and shows how much he cares about his fan unlike some RUclipsrs
I love all the new things he's doing. Like counting how many kills chucky has over the movies. How many different ways he's killed people. How many kills each movie had. It's awesome.
My favorite line has to be “Eat dirt Tommy”
17:30 Pimp my Ride reference. Nice 👍🏻
Love how you worked Arnold’s tumor line into a kill count. Maybe my favorite movie quote
"It doesn't matter wherever I go chucky will find me "😥
it was at that point I was 💯 % behind Andy defeating chucky
It’s nice to see James reinvigorated and showing more personality when doing the recounts. It makes it feel fresh and new as opposed to just rehashing the same video. And the behind the scenes info is awesome for these kill counts.
There's something about the tone of the film that makes this one my favorite in the series. From Alex Vincent's performance to Kyle to one of the best finales in the series. I can see why its held in such high regards. Its always held up when I rewatch it.
I like how the behind the scenes stuff explains how some cast and crew members have connections towards each other from past films or even future ones that followed from Child’s Play 2.
(14:50) I know there were some notable things onscreen that weren’t supposed to be shown during this scene. For example, when Kyle accidentally bumps into Joanne’s lifeless body. There’s a boom mike briefly seen in the mirror when Kyle backs away from the chair.
Love how chucky is just fed up with being a doll and pretending, so he doesnt even bother doing the good guy voice
That “Dead Beef” joke got me good. I don’t know if it was a Phantom of the Paradise reference but that is a solid hell yeah if it was. Gerrit Graham is an absolute legend.
It was indeed
'How's it hanging Phil' will always be my favorite line from this movie.
i said this on the last recount but i’m so unbelievably glad you’re recounting this series!! this series 100% deserves to get the modern kill count treatment and i’m thoroughly enjoying it

Re: A Halloween Horror Nights house based in the Good Guys Factory - They did do one similar, but only part of it took place in the factory. Chucky: Friends til the End. It was the third scene in the house. I worked in the house (not as a scare actor) and the scariest thing to ever happen to me at an HHN was one of the Chuckies asking me what time it was without warning me they were next to me. Also: They were almost all women as the Chucky actors needed to be a tad short.
I love how you shine light on all the crew and techs that make these movies. They do so much and are so talented just its great to learn more about them. Thank you for that.
This entire movie has such “USA: Up All Night” energy. Such a powerful nostalgia for me.
For me these recounts are a good look back. They also teach me behind the scenes things I didn't know. It makes me want to rewatch the original trilogy. I know the third is sloppy, but it had some cool things in it. The trash compacter death is something I think about sometimes when I see one

Great work James and the rest of the team!
James, your quoting of Idle Hands brought a genuine smile to my face on what has been a pretty bad day. One of the reasons I love watching your show. Never change!
The "oh my God it's dip" slayed me.
Lolol 😂 and hey that other part where Chucky surprised the guy in the back seat of his car he tricks him with a toy water 🔫 ties him up and squirting him and then smothered him with a plastic bag laughing at him now that's actually pretty funny looking would you agree with me?
I’m super excited for James to Kill Count and review “An American Werewolf in London.” I hope it’s soon!
I LOVE how these videos (especially recounts) go more into the cast and crew than the older counts, you really feel for them all when you learn about how Don Mancini, the legend he is, alway makes everybody feel like family together, it really explains why this franchise has been going strong for so long. But it's also heartbreaking hearing about John Lafia, rest in peace to such a kind soul who was doing his best and directed a really great sequel.
I love all the new data James has collected for the recounts, like the kill methods chart! I can't wait to see how all the methods of the Child's Play kills end up on that spread. Keep up the awesome work, James!
Did you say “Dead Beef”?!! Yes!!! “Phantom of the Paradise” Reference!!
I was expecting the champion chuckle to go to the truck driver yelling at Kyle scene. That scene was the funniest for me
I like how James makes some of the scarier horror movies “less scary”
