I like the vibrant colors in this paper pad, especially the blue. The 4 patchwork style dies are so awesome because you can die-cut each sheet and then choose your layouts is marvelous. Kristie, this was a fun video to watch.

Aw, thank you! I was being very careful not to misplace any die cut pieces. There are a lot after cutting out a full 6x6 paper pad. This video took me a long time with all the thinking through and planning portion. The actual card making part went by very quickly.😊

Fantastic!! Those dies make it so simple to mass produce cards without looking all the same. Now to decide if I reeeeaaaaallllllllyyy need them. 😂

For the piece shaped like a pocket, it looks like a house. If you use those dies with Xmas papers, you could just cut a little rectangle door with an enamel dot doorknob and put a tiny wreath or mistletoe toe or tiny strings of lights on the house.

Thanks for doing another pad smash with these dies. I still get a little stumped with my two dies sometimes and it helps to get inspiration from someone like you. I don’t have the B side dies but after this video, I may find I need them, lol. Love what you did with all the pieces fitting them together , mixing and matching!
These turned out great! I love those bright colors against the Kraft Cardstock. And that quilted embossing pattern is beautiful. I have Card Layer Die 2 and this really helps with ideas how to use it.
I have had the first set of dies for a few years now. I just got the other set the other day, I have always loved using these dies. It would be great if they could make the same sets but smaller so we could layer them. Your cards are so nice, thanks for sharing.

Do you have to angle them when you’re putting them thru the die cut machine? I have a big shot so there’s no wiggle room. Thanks
@@nangustafson8110 I have a Sizzix Big Shot as well. Definitely no wiggle room with it. Lol! I use a small piece of washi tape to secure the paper to the die. There's just enough room at the edge of the paper. Then I can run the die through my Big Shot more than once if needed. You can also rotate the die if it doesn't fully cut on the first pass. Just make sure the paper hasn't shifted.

Love how you used the Card Layer Dies. I've had my dies for a while and have played a little bit with them. Some of the pieces stumped me though. Wasn't sure what to do with them. Your video helps inspire me. Beautiful cards, as always. Love them all! Question, how many sheets of the 6x6 did you use per layer die?
Thank you so much! 💗 For each die, I cut out 6 sheets of 6x6 paper. I wanted to keep it even.

maybe I am thinking wrong but wouldn't you get the reverse image if you flipped the cut pieces over or upside down after using the original die set? just thinking out loud!
Yes, you would. They would be the back side of the die cut pieces. I personally don't think they have a very clean look on the back side. Sometimes I get the cutting plate marks on the back side of my die cuts.
The “stitching” looks so much better on the front of each die piece, as opposed to the back side.

I haven't had any problems with Jaded Blossom's word dies. You could always try adding a shim. That may help.
I have two of these and they never completely cut out the pieces and I have to finish with scissors. None of my other dies have this issue. I’ve tried adding an extra piece of paper as a shim but no luck. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you fix it?
I've never had a problem using the dies. I tape the die to the 6x6 paper with a piece of washi tape. There's just enough space along the edge for the tape. That way the paper doesn't move if I need to run the die though my machine again. Have you tried rotating the die after the initial cut? I've done that with other dies and it helps. You could also email Jaded Blossom and ask if they have any suggestions. The owners are very kind.💗

All of my cards in this video are American standard A2 size. 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
