Wonderful. Sounds like a Mary Karr memoir-my own early life too. The gritty, hard, yes nasty images are the real stuff seen by somebody not trying to do the fashion. Getting older, getting closer is a thing too. Carry on with the magic of photography in showing what you see.
Always enjoy hearing from Bruce G, and there's something extra when the talk is recent enough to feel like we inhabit the same world. P.S. I'd love to see a comic book of Bruce's adventures by Mike Allred 💎🦘
I like the perspective that Bruce can still demonstrate that he can seek consent with subjects of people. I will still agree that his works can be controversial. Particularly when he does projects with the homeless community and the drug epidemic across America. I admire for himself being critical of his works. And like revered photographers, it can take a while to get a great image. And I would not like anyone, including myself; for beating themselves up that they cannot get “banger” and good images everytime. Many street photographers do come home with rolls of images and hundreds of RAW files. By finding a great image, one must go out there and take pictures!
How can you not love him? The gift of honesty and heart
He is brutally honest and I love his approach.
You're a great talker Bruce. Your confidence and no nonsense way is inspiring.
Loved it.His Way of being Himself and knowing who he is.
Only another master can make those wonderful questions to another master
Merci pour ce moment.

Bruce you’re a true inspiration as I can relate to the story of your life. Photography makes me laugh too …it takes away some of that hurt

Interesting for sure, but what’s with the stage lighting?
With two ex wives and a long term gf myself… I laughed out loud when he talked about being a good judge of character. 😂
52 subs? WTF is wrong with the world? Let’s get Bruce more subs. This is insane
Channels new
👍❤️👍
Having them sitting in the dark makes them look like they're in the witness protection program
The way Parr holds the mic is a little unfortunate. (Can't help it, I'm a visual person)
Bruce Gilden, such an evil genius and god like figure, that you're not allowed to look upon his face.
Love you Bruce but if you’d go to Gaza, as a Jew, you would be berried in Gaza on the same day.
What are you talking about?
you good?
lol you ignorant folk
