- I love walking with my Adventure Geek club, but once in a while it is nice to go out on your own. This is a nearly 11 mile hike from Ivinghoe Beacon, via Aldbury and Bridgewater Monument. I encounter a weird guy hunting moths, get attacked by a savage dog (well, he did bark at me!), and miss flying golf balls. All in a days work! I love my job!

What a fantastic walk Julia, some lovely views and I agree with you, those chalky paths are similar to the South downs. I have to admit I got a bit worried for you when I saw that dog charging towards you from behind barking!. I do love your companion doll!. I often take a Hiking penguin doll ( made by an elderly lady for me) the penguin is named Peggy. Watching this video has given me itchy feet and I need to get out and do another walk. I was gutted that I was not allowed to fly my drone in this one. I had to carry it all day as well but there were signs everywhere saying no drones allowed :-(
