I could hear the joy in your voice once the tiles started popping up easy 😅. I don’t know how you slept that night I probably would have been at the job site at 2 am 😅😅 Great job Mark I love your talks.
Wow, you have no idea how your message hit me square in the face. I'm not a tile contractor! I found you probably because Isaac had a podcast interview with you on his tile Coach channel. It felt like you was talking specifically to me. I know now after watching your videos that you pretty much reaching out to new tile contractors. That is not who I am. I'm definitely a DIY'er (trying to remodel two bathrooms in my house). I have struggled with depression and anger issues. You have totally helped me keep things in perspective in my life! Thank you!!! for the right message I needed to hear at the perfect time that I needed to hear it.
Beautiful job! Thank you so much. I tend to STRESS so hard about my work, even tried recently to get a non building job after 8 years, cause of it ( and failed, still building stuff! 😅). Managing your mental health is a big part of it, especially if you're working alone. Helps to know you're not the only one making mistakes!
Your average person doesn't know how much of a mind game construction is. They think it's all manual labor, when the manual labor is the easier of the two parts. Right now I have a madness of grading one of my projects. The city has got alot of backlash from new build grades flooding adjacent existing houses, and now it has trickles down to us. I have a house that has alot of regrading to be done, and wouldn't you know it, the sod is already on the ground because what these clowns have us do. They inspect the final survey AFTER the sod is down. Not to mention we can just get another inspector who catches a different item. Alot of work, and it may just fail again, because that is the madness going on right now. Construction is pain, because creation is pain. That's how it is.
Absolutely love this message! Its great to hear others that i look up to tackle projects (mistakes) like i do when mistakes happen. I have 3 crews where this kind of thing happens once every 6 months. Is what it is. We are the pros, lets figure it out like pros. Thank you 🤝
Been there. It is a tough one but owning it and not worrying about it, handling it as soon as possible is always the move. So much less stress that way. Could not agree more with the way you handled it.
I have a similar shower floor. What grout and color did the homeowner end up using ? I’m looking for something that blends in with the tile as opposed to bright white which would make it look grid-like
Worst answer. I use to get high and drunk for years. It makes it better for the night then the next day you feel like shit and the problem is still there

So true, I was taught isn't not about the problem, it's about how you "choose" to respond to the problem, and all problem are small problems.
Beautiful job!

Great attitude Mark. It’s how we handle these problems that shows integrity. Thanks for sharing the behind the scenes stuff.
Handled like the true professional that you are.
Bravo!

I've made the same mistake on a small floor luckily the right tile was still available and I covered the removal and replacement.
I love this and relate all too well. Thank you for sharing.

Absolutely. Accepting the things I cannot change.
What knee pads were those? I've tried so many brands, but have issues where they slide down my leg over time. I got small calves lol
Proknees
I just buy a bottle of jack to forget about it
That sounds miserable
