Thats my home trail. I helped cut a bunch of the original lines 20 plus years ago. Now I'm out there riding multiple times a week. Thanks for making a good video of it. You did our little trail proud!
You don’t know how much your comment means to me! 😃 This has always been my goal with this channel. To show the trails and trail systems in detail rather than just riding around with a GoPro on. I really like to get off the bike and enjoy the features and the building process that took place. I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. Makes all the sweat in the eyes worth it!!!😜
Glad you enjoyed the trail! Sweat and sugar sand builds character!
That was a cool tour of the trails
Thanks I’m glad everyone is liking it! Sometimes all the POV only videos don’t do the trails justice!😃
Absolutely love the video & love JD! haven’t been there in a few weeks because of the lack of rain but hands-down it’s probably my favorite trail for flow and for jumps in South Florida! They really have put a lot of great work into that trail. Absolutely love it. It’s an hour away from my house but it’s worth a trip every time! My home trail is Quiet Waters which is similar conditions with dry shell rock. If you ever make it down this way check out Quiet Waters!
So glad you liked the video. I put lots of time into this one!!! I believe the trail builders don’t get enough credit. Lots of people just strap on a go pro and ride around. I like to dig deep and give the trail itself the respect it deserves! I love riding there. After a couple days of rain it’s perfect!!!!!!😃
I like Camp Murphy but it does gets warm on exposed section. On tree shaded back sections like Osprey Trail, I feel like I'm gonna get jumped by a gator any moment.
It’s creepy back there for sure. I stay off the section this day. Though it may be to sandy! Hope you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching 😃
I have a picture I took of a gator in the middle of the trail out there. Let me see if I can figure out how to upload it...
Update to my gator comment above can't pull it off with this equipment. Cant figure it out. Oh well. The picture was taken right past prickly pear.
gator potential by prickly pear??? what?! 😮 I had no idea.
K Five, i'm local to St. Pete, but have been riding a lot of South East mountains the past year. I've ridden Pisgah, Kanuga, and Jarrods Place. My 2021 fuel ex 9.7 is feeling super undersquished at the moment. I'm 25 so i love jumps and going fast lol. I'm struggling between choosing the bronson or the Stumpjumper evo expert. I'm 6'0 so the sizing feels pretty much the same. What would you recommend? Your Bronson purchase inspired me
I have never ridden the stumpy. Ive heard good things about it. But I’ve been riding Santa Cruz bikes since the late 90’s!!! I’ve recently ridden the 5010, Hightower now the new Bronson. I’ve loved them all. But this Bronson being a mullet I believe it’s the most versatile and at the same time they most capable all around bike I’ve ridden in a very long time. I just got back from NC and it handled all the big gnarly rocky stuff. And all the big flow jumps at Kanuga! I can also tell you that I am turning in and out of berms faster and with more confidence than I ever have. I think they are still on sale. The S Kit can be gotten for 5500. Good luck let me know what you decide 🤘🏻
Where are those skinnies?
What tires are you riding? I'm over by Tampa so I ride alafia and balm a lot, but I'm looking to swap them out a little.
I’ve been going through some different tires lately! What I have come up with is maxxis Rekon for all Florida riding. Then I switch to Asagai front and Dissector on the rear. The light weight and faster rolling of the Rekon are better for Florida trails
Nice video!
I feel like I know every inch of those trails, JD is awesome!
Thanks, that was the goal with this video. If you really slow down and look at this trail system. It’s pretty awesome. Tons of work went into building it! And maintains it!🤘🏻😃
Where are those skinnies?

When I was riding my hardtail!!!
The last hardtail I rode was the first year they made a full suspension bike!😜
@@kfivemtb , I just bought my first full suspension last year!! Ive been riding a specialized Carve since 2012, This new bike stuff is all new to me but im having fun trying it all out!!
Great video! Moved to Hobe Sound late 2021 and just got back into mountain biking here a few months ago. Fantastic park to have less than 10 minutes from my house. Your video reinforced my own methodical process of analyzing the amazing variety of features and the speed control required to land every one cleanly and safely. Some of these sections can get really fast and jumps and drops can still sneak up on you - especially since I’ve only hit these trails less than a dozen times so far. Early morning or late afternoon truly is the best time - especially after the sugar sandy patches have been saturated a bit by rain. Amazing these trails are made possible by prehistoric sand dunes that rise from just 4’ to nearly 60’ above sea level just a mile or so from the beach. Truly a special place!
Thanks so much for the the great comment, glad you enjoyed the video! Mountain Biking in Florida is so good! The trail builders are creative and make the best trails with what they are given. I love riding JD. Just not in the middle of summer🥵
I'm planning to go up today. It's supposed to rain till about 11:00. It's been raining all night. It's an hour drive from my house and will be my first time there. Hopefully things go well and it is not closed and I can check it out
How did your first JD Park MTB outing go?@@ThideUpSound
Usually not bad after rain, but it’s been raining a ton!!!
@larrysmith1851 dude it was amazing! I had no idea there was such elevation. Lots of good long climbs and long fast descents. I had an excellent time. Rode hard for 2 hours. Going back this weekend. Been hitting Quiet Waters and now Jonathan dickinson. I'm camping for the first weekend in February at markham. So it will be my first time hitting those trails as well.. doing all this on a Ridgid with 26-.195. Sing if it's something I'm going to continue doing before I Go full suspension 29er
Great video!!! So helpful!! I just started riding here, awesome job! 🎉
They are tricky to find. I always just seem to run into them😂
