Man i got good memories of cat mario from the past (cuz of the mobile games) and this is a good throwback. I think the game was called super cat or something like that. Never was good at it but i liked playing as a cat in literal mario. Great cover as well, it sounds good. Not on the wrong tune or anything like that, which is awesome.

This is a really solid cover, and the sprites look straight from Cat Mario/85 demo 2. Them running the other way in the last segement, and Nekomon also slowly getting closer there was a genious touch, and I don't have to explain if you've seen gameplay/played it yourself. You did awesome, I have nothing other than this.
I loved that subtle touch as well. Him actually catching up makes the circumstances feel all the more terrifying
It's good that u took the voice of MX bcs Nekoamon is technicaly MX but in a cat version
they both sound the same in both demos, so I thought "yeah, why not?"

if this gets made into a mod it should have a bunch of instakill mechanics so its just like the real one
like yknow how in the original game over mod luigi jumps automatically? you have to do that manually and also sometimes the signal to jump is slightly different and if you jump you die

oh also remove the powerup system so you have to fc
and at the end, you have to press shift to slide into the pipe, or you hit your head na die.

I love this cover, the vocals are perfect and not all wonky, and I like how it keeps the transformation but instead of trying to kill Whiskers he plays some games at the end, so it was like they were playing a game of tag during the song
Meanwhile Nekoamon phase 1 voice is literally BF from the alpha ver. of VS Dave And Bambi

I like how even though the first parts weren’t animated, the running part was.
If anyone makes a mod out of this, make sure every few notes is a hidden “death” note that kills you if you hit it.

What makes this cover all the more better than the OG is the fact that Nekoamon sounds like MX (when fully transformed)

Edit : as i a watched Mario 85 april fools update video i realized that on the last run (nekoamon with red eyes) you recreated the whole map (its easier to see on 3:06 - 3:14)
