Talkin' Tech: Scanmarker Pro

In this month’s Talkin’ Tech with Dr. Ray, we look at an alternative use for the Scanmarker Pro. We often struggle with our ELL population and their parents when trying to assist them because of communication barriers. The utilization of the Speak and Translate features in this device can create immediate lines of communication without always needing to wait to have a translator involved. This level of communication can also continue to occur in the home environment when physical texts in English may not be easily understood by parents or guardians.
