Hey man, thanks for this, it just popped up in my feed. I remember those days.. I think it was around 10-12 years ago if I'm not mistaken. Fun fact, jess and I were never in the same room on this one, and I'd travelled over 2 hours to get to the studio and 2 hours back and we used the first take... 😂 I think I did three in total and we just picked the first one as it seemed to capture the spirit of the track. I was probably there only about 30 minutes including having a coffee with Jan. (producer of this video) Anyway thanks for this step back in time, it was fun to see it. All the best Alex 👍🎸🙏
Heck yeah! Wonderful cover of a classic! Jess Lewis is really a fabulous player! Also, So great to see Alex Hutchings again also. Magnificent player and generally just a down to earth really nice guy. p.s further more, Alex is actually the reason I know Valeriy Stepanov exist, so extra eternally grateful for that. 😂🙏🏻
WOW ! What great playing, bofe ya'll... I wasn't sure if it was note for note, regardless, just plain excellent ! Interesting Room 335 covered by 2 Strats... I had this album in wax bought 70s and saw LC twice, once up close at Dante's in LA w J Pocaro, Joe Sample and Pops Popwell, taped it too but that tape is prob dust by now... Thx for presenting these 2 gifted players ~ st
I find that cover few years ago and I love it. I like Jess interpretation very much. There is another fantastic Jess cover on YT. It is "Fierce" composed by Jan Cyrka. Please find time and check it.

Hahaha, gotta love those quick turnaround sessions! Great playing Alex. 👏👏👏
@@StrateleStudios Haha, yes indeed. Thanks for your kind words sir... All the very best 😎
Jess did cover Larry’s notes on the second half except for that last 20 second run.
I believe she was only 16 years old at this recording.
I am usually more into the piano than guitar but this was really, really cool! They both were really good!
SO happy to see a member of the younger generation embracing a classic such as Room 335. Thank you for giving us hope! Nice job,Paisan!

Sounds kinda like a sped up version of Steely Dan's Peg. Love your reaction Jeff.

Not my thing, can't stomach the tone on that guitar.
