Finally a drone that actually goes BEYOND what the range states in the specs. Image is stable here. So B20, B12 or F11 4k Pro, that is the question.

MJX bugs 2se still the winner for this at 1.8miles max distance. Test last Jan 2019.🤚👍

Yup! 290 kilometers is way out of range for a small quad. Hehe!
I went out to the farm land here in Lancaster, and I got 1853 meters! I was shocked!!! I was usually just averaging around 600m.

@@RCEscape Yes I was shocked, I kept my left finger on Antenna and that seemed to be the reason for the 1800+ meters!?????

That poster putty works good.
Yes it does. It has the consistency of chewed gum. Super sticky but can be removed and used again and again and it forms to whatever the surface.
Yeah, I love it. Mine is blue, though. I stuck a camera to my goggles (trying to walk around the house in FPV) and it didn't budge.
It's called it Blu-tak here in Australia, good stuff, I've used it many times to mount cameras if I don't use hot glue
@@PERTHWESTOZRC Blu-tak should be a much better bet than hot glue for AIO cameras & VTXs Dave. Especially if you're running 400mw for Bugs 2 style ranges! 😜

Nice flight Pete. Love all the new tech on the MJX Bugs series, But, the distance seem to be getting a little lesser than the Original Bugs 2. Thanks for the fpv flight view and distance test.
Totally agree! Starting with the Holystone quads which are MJX core. Still a very decent distance but you would think it should actually get better and not the other way around. 👍😍
Still a very capable bird even if without gimble. MJX is a durable brand and just another fancy part to break in a crash.. lol if you want a in depth Honest Review RC Escape is the man. Its small and fast to lunch to get the shot. And thats a big plus thumbs up ALL LOL

Superb job on your flight distance test video! I recently acquired the "Bugs 12" which happens to be my very first drone. At a $100 bucks (brand new) I simply couldn't pass it up. However, the great reviews on this drone were the deciding factor. What type of SD card do you recommend for recording 4k video on this unit? Many Thanks!

Did you ever try the Parabolic mirror on it? I know there's only one real antenna on the left, but shouldn't it help? I never had a chance to try the Parabolic mirror.
At the beginning, you said you did not have a phone attached. If so, how does it fly without an app? With a cheap camera/ transmitter/antenna, how did it manage to give you video at that distance?
It does not need a phone to fly. The FPV feed is recorded on the goggles and also on the built in dvr of the aircraft.
Good test Pete, I'm guessing you must live in Florida where its dry most of the year round, been waiting to see you fly the valley again. I like this quad but the sjrc f11 pro seems better

Is that kickback a built in safety feature to prevent you from losing the drone or did you have to mod the drone to get it?
the kickback is when is momentarily lost signal.
