So, I've recently started watching baseball and don't know all of the rules yet. Say a person is on 2nd base and there is no one on 1st base. If a ball is hit and is not caught he'll start running to 3rd base, but say the ball gets there first is he immediately out or could he try to return to 2nd base (which is empty)?

Yo Bobby I’m one of the better players at this game I make WS every season and I just wanted to give u some tips. I noticed you can only square up fastballs but nothing else. I suggest to just kinda sit offspeed if you know you’re struggling one game because you’re opponent will throw it a lot if you’re not hitting it good. Just thought I’d help out and give some pointers
