    Thank you Ernie. Thank you Rev. He opened my eyes to what a guitar could do sometime around 1962. I bought my j-45 in 64. Now I finally get a chance to do something of the Rev.

    Of all the instructional videos available Ernie stands out at teaching to achieve "the sound" of the original artist head and shoulders above anybody else. He is a master at the detail of both left and right-hand technique of the artists he demonstrates. This is especially true with Gary Davis and Lightning Hopkins which I'm familiar with.

    This is awesome beyond belief. I really think Ernie Hawkins is the best instructor in the Guitar Workshop stable.

      In these two dvds there is not the booklet/tab is very very difficult study this kind of music without one booklet

    I had bought these two dvds but is very very difficult this kind of music is impossible study without one book so i paid it for nothing i have not been happy

      Haha, tell that to any of the old blues masters who only used index and thumb. Do some homework and you will find out how to play piedmont blues like the old timers did. I think Ernie is just fabulous and sure he could use all 4 fingers and thumb if he wanted to
