- Wish4Fish is back on the water! This time fly fishing to trophy Brook Trout, Lake Trout and Northern Pike in Labrador at Northern Lights Fishing Lodge.
I am back in Labrador! I haven't been there since 2019 and have been itching for these giant Brook Trout. I decided to spend a little more time on the Northern Pike. I highly recommend taking the time to fish for the Pike for a day or even two. Labrador is without a doubt one of the best fly fishing destinations out there. You hear the word "bucket list" used in this industry often. Well, this should be at the top of that list.

@@Wish4Fish right on …is your rove reel a 5/7wt if so how do you like it ? Also have you ever used the Abel tr
It’s a 7/9. Although you can easily use a 5/7. Best reel on the market in my opinion. Especially for what I do with it. Although bit of an overkill if you’re just fishing Brookies. Unless you’re fishing salt or something that rips line you don’t need it.
TR is awesome! Also the best Click n Pawl out there. Easily can use that for all trout of all sizes.
@@Wish4Fish if you were just using the tr for Brook trout around 6in to 2lbs would you buy the 4/5 or the 5/6?
I usually also go with the bigger option. Although in this case it really doesn’t matter. That’s more of a personal preference.

Does that place have any big pike or lakers?
As in, bigger than the ones in this video?

This place is a trophy Brook Trout fishery. The Pike and Lakers are secondary. Like I said, I'm sure they are in here. Just not where we are fishing.
