The Boosh is one of those things that can endlessly entertain me, and yet I've never really laughed out loud at. I've snickered at it, but I wouldn't call it outright hilarious. I do love it, just not in the same way I love other comedies and not in the same way people who laugh themselves silly at it do. I get more of a surreal sense of joy from it. The kind that rarely makes you laugh out loud, but always makes you smile and can just make you forget your worries for while.

I wonder if this is funny to people that don't watch the Mighty Boosh? The whole thing is pretty much just references from the show. It's like a bunch of inside jokes for fans of the Boosh.
The pie skit is so much better when they do it in their actual live show. The voices weren't done near as well for this and they left out a few lines but I still love them and that skit is one of my favorites.

I agree. The Boosh is great because (as they say) together Vince and Howard make one person. If Russell joined it would be too heavy on the Vince and not enough Howard. Russell and Noel together are great as just an outrageous duo and maybe Russell and Julian could work as a similar dynamic as the Boosh but all together it would be out of balance.

the whole point of their work and their relationship is that it has such a loose threaded feel. It's probably a lot more rehearsed than you believe.
