Happy Birthday Xbox 360! You're now legal! 😂The Xbox 360 console was the beginning of a dry period for me and gaming, but I thought it would be neat to reflect on the games that came out around the console launch. I played and owned all of the games on this list. What are some of YOUR favorite 360 games? Let me know in the comments. Thanks everyone.
I waited in line with my buddy to get the 360 at launch. Great experience camping out at my local Circuit City. I ended up with the Core system as well. Got COD2, Need For Speed Most Wanted. Picked up and Memory Card and the component cable too. Then it Rrod on me about 2 months later if that lol. Thankfully I purchased the extended warranty so I got another one that lasted a bit longer but all in all, I went through 4 systems until they released the jasper chipset. Aaannnnd then my fiancée at the time watered a plant on top of the entertainment center which she overfilled and fried it. A system which I’ll always remember lmao. On a better note, I picked up a brand new, sealed GOW3 red slim bundle at a local game store for under $400 bucks last September! I started my 360 collection all over again:).
Two games. ghost recon advance war fighter which I got with my Xbox and battlefield bad company 2. My fondest memory of bad company 2 is playing online MP until 6 am with my best friend and annoying him because I kept singing the G.I Joe theme song when driving vehicles 😂
My dry period of gaming was the PS2/Gamecube/OG Xbox generation. I think a lot of people reach a dry period in their early 20s as life is expanding and unfolding. The Wii and PS3 brought me back and it grew until now with the Switch generation I’m as big into games as I was when I was a teenager! In regards to the 360, I didn’t own one until the XBox One was released but I was struck by the advancements the 360 brought in UI and Live Arcade… it really Microsoft’s best console to this date.
It really feels like it was just recently..I perfectly remember november 2005 and xbox 360 being sold for something like 500 $ (in local currency).. it actually came in a bundle with a HD READY TV 720p and costs like around 1300 $ for both..darn.. my income was around 300 bucks at the time :)) But yeah, xbox360 was actually a revolution in gaming back in 2005.
This video wanted to make me cry. I remember when my dad bought me the Xbox 360 Arcade version because that's all he could afford at the time. No games, no memory card, no hard drive. All I played was a Xbox 360 demo disc that I received from the Official Xbox Game Magazine in the mail. I was so appreciative of it. Didn't care if all I could play was a demo disc that included Call of Duty 2, Chromehounds, Kameo, King Kong. The Call of Duty 2 and King Kong game blew me away. The Xbox 360 is literally my favorite console of all time right next to the PlayStation 2, hands down. Nothing will ever top it for me. Gaming was at its peak for me with the Xbox 360.
When I first got my 360 I played Prey. It absolutely blew me away and made me feel like we were living in a new era of gaming. The story, the action, the gimmicks of flipping upside down, and the amazing graphics left a long lasting impression on my mind. Great video!
I am a Nintendo fan boy and still not afraid to admit this now I’m in my 40s, but the Xbox 360 holds some of the most precious and fun times I have ever had being a gamer! The console really came to life for me when Gears of War was released. The amount of early hour gaming with friends and people in the US (I’m from the UK) will never be forgotten. Waking up my then girlfriend 3am in the morning screaming ‘stop using the chainsaw’ cracks me up to this day - great times 👍🏻
I was at a buddys n saw him playing gears of war. I never play online but best believe when i saved up enough money outta my checks i bought 360 jus for gears of war lol pretty sad i kno i had that and those burger king games and guitar hero all i can remember playing on the 360 stupid red ring ruined the company 4 me. Went back 2 my favorite playstation nvr let me down
You are spot on about Perfect Dark Zero! My friend and I poured countless hours into the PD on N64 and we too wanted to like Zero. We made ourselves play it, thinking we’d eventually like it. But no. It was so clunky! We couldn’t put our finger on what exactly it was, but it just felt bad to play.
Perfect Dark Zero is a forgettable title because too many ppl who had the first Perfect Dark kept comparing the two....Perfect Dark Zero was a really fun game
Call of Duty 2 is the last time I remember playing a game from a new generation and truly being blown away by the graphics. I still remember going to Walmart and there being a long line of people waiting to play the demo in the games section. Those graphics were so far ahead of what we had with the original Xbox. I don't think we will ever have a generational leap ahead ever agian that was to this degree.
Same here. I remember random people stopping and watching in amazement at the Xbox 360 kiosks in retail stores. The demo of the game where it had the guys riding in the back of the convoy to start looked so realistic at the time.
Call of Duty 2 was the hardest call of duty in my opinion. It felt like a call of Duty on steroids in some portions of the game. I remember being trapped in a corner and getting sniped repeatedly with soldiers running towards me one after another in different directions. It was a nightmare but a challenge to break free. I just felt like this Call of Duty was more fast paced than the others.
So glad to see King Kong on the list. It is the best film to game adaptation ever developed IMO. It was also one of the last 360 games to gain backwards compatibility support on the Xbox One. The day it was announced, I immediately went hunting through probably 5 Gamestops until I found a dirty old used copy that surprisingly worked. I played through the whole game that same day and it was just as I remembered. The absence of both a HUD and crosshairs made it feel so cinematic.
One of the first games I played on the 360 was “Lost Planet.” It’s not in my top games of all time (by far), but at the time, it BLEW my MIND. I really felt like I was playing “next gen,” and I remember how magical that felt. I haven’t felt that in a long time…Sure there have been amazing games, but none have really made me feel like “this is something I’ve never experienced before.” Maybe if I invested in VR and played half life alyx…
When I finally got a 360 it was May 2006 and the first 3 game I got were GRAW, Call of Duty 2, and Oblivion. All 3 remain favorites of mine to this day and still are playable and hold up well all these years later ❤️early 360 era was my favorite time in gaming. Seeing the leap in technology, felt like you were witnessing an important part of history unfold. And it truly was just that.
Really enjoyed this video. As a kid born in 1993 with my first console being a PS1, it was actually the PS2 that I have more solid memories of (since I was older at the time of getting it). However, the PS3/360-generation really is the generation that I have the most fond memories of.
I just remember spending so much on cooling components like intercoolers just to make sure that my launch console stayed alive. Eventually, my first launch console ringed. After much research, I bought a second, "reliable" console. THANK GOD, my second one didn't. Still works today. Marble Blast Ultra is one of the most fun games I have played on the system.
Please give a Perfect Dark Zero second change you can play it on Xbox Series X in native 4K with stable 30fps, Play it with your family and friends in Coop and Multiplayer against each other, it's huge fun game never forget, i played this game in multiple years i finished it 2 times and i love it
To me this is the last great era of gaming. They really started to crack the code on how to make great 3d games during those years while also still being creative and trying new things. Unlike today where every game has same camera angles, same button layouts etc
@@adewilson132 very debatable. There are basically only AAA and now AAAA games. Those types of games have to make tons of money. So gameplay and modes aren’t geared towards what’s most fun.. it’s geared towards what will bring in the most money through season passes, skins and micro transactions. Titles that once had great single player experiences with a side of fun multiplayer now often have no single player campaign at all. Sports games took up all the licenses so that only 1 company can make that game instead of several. Big companies have swallowed smaller developers and killed their games entirely. Or bought big licenses just so no one else can use them.
Seeing that thumbnail hit me hard. I won the 360 at a raffle and ended up buying the Collectors Edition of PDZ. This was the first time I had access to Xbox Live and was able to play multiplayer for the first time ever. I ended up getting an amazing Co-op partner for mission runs and we ended up beating the campaign together on dark agent. Sometimes the coolest thing is going back to your old achievements to see when you unlocked them.
I worked at Circuit City in 2005 and when we opened the store that launch day morning my store manager said “we are going to put you on this specific register, and all I want you to do is ring up people who are here to buy the Xbox 360” So on launch day, I was the only one in our store who could see the 360! He knew that I had a good ability to recommend add on accessories, games, and the City Advantage Protection Plan! I hope people took me up on that particular recommendation, the Red Ring was coming!
I hated red ring i bought 2 360s basically only for gears of war but after it red ringed again id said ill stick with playstation aint nvr bought any xbox since lol man that made me so mad. But thats cool u was tryin 2 prevent some of that stuff and at a circuit city no less think i went inside there maybe 2 or 3x in my life back then lol
Your Father was well prepared with footage.. We all know Tyler that you late father knew the future and, it’s fantastic that you have made him immortal. Not everyone had the foresight to leave a legacy to his child with video footage to make money.. I love these clips. I think he would like to see you do the same for your children (in whatever their interests are)
I was in high school when it came out. My friend just got his 1st job at a car wash and spent like $1,000 on a HD CRT and a 360 from Best Buy. I helped him unload that fat azz TV from the truck and set the system up. Seeing Perfect Dark Zero I remember thinking "hmm this isn't that impressive looking". I didn't get a 360 myself until 2009 (didn't get a job 'till I was 20 lol).
My brother and I got an Xbox 360 during Christmas in 2006. Our first game was Gears of War and I can remember being amazed by the graphics compared to the OG Xbox. After playing that game I was sold. Thanks for the video, it brought back memories.
I bought my Xbox in the summer of 2005, but was put on a waiting list by gamestop and didn't get to grab it until December 23rd!! I remember I had Perfect Dark and CoD2 just sitting there waiting to be played for 6 months...and I finally got to play them. Good times. I still miss the old blades GUI though.
Because of this review I have purchased Kameo. Back in the day in the 360's hay day i never took interest in the game but had the Kameo background on my 360. I've been hearing alot about this game in different reviews so I figure I will give it a try.
Condemned was so amazing for its time. I'd love to see an HD update/remake/re-imaging or sequel. Also, Call of Duty 2 blew me away, I would have put that at number 1. I remember playing the demo over and over again at Best Buy till I could finally buy my own Xbox 360. Amped 3 was one of my all time favorite games as well. Just a huge mountain range to explore and free ride. Plus the "jump/terrain" editor. Chefs kiss.
I love your channel so much.. every time you present us a list like this, or an experience with a game, you give SO much passion and detail that makes me so involved in your memory as if I was there as well. I'm always smiling when you start speaking about games that I've never even heard about! I always end up checking them out too... I hope to play geometry wars at some point!!!!! it looks mad fun. maybe mobile? Thanks a lot again for this vid :)
You made me start going back to my dad's old home videos! I found a lotttt of them! Might even make my own video responding to your channel to thank you for the nostalgic memories that makes me feel closer to my family. Thank you :) @@MyRetroLife
I remember getting my 360, the blade menu was amazing. I remember playing Geo Wars competitively with friends and UNO. I could not afford games for the First month of owning it . I did however play the Battlefield 2 Demo which was multiplayer with 2 levels. I played that game to death until I bought it, the Beta of COD4 and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfigter (Graw) were my first 3 games with so many memories. Memories unlocked thankyou Tyler.
Didn't get one at launch. I was still enjoying my Ps2. 2006 Christmas I got one and man. So much fun. Got Call of Duty 3, Smackdown vs Raw 2007, Rainbow Six Vegas, and Burger King Pocket Bike Racer! Haha. I spent most time playing Vegas and COD 3 online.
I have nearly all the launch games, such a great variety at launch! A lot of them sadly don't hold up quite as well now imho, but I can't bare to part with them cause of all the good memories I had with them. COD 2 and FarCry Instincts Predator were really special experiences on XBOX Live.
Did a lot of LDS/Mormon young singles guys gatherings in the previous decade. We always played games like Perfect Dark and Halo. One time I recall us hoping up multiple Xboxes. Those were good broments
Perfect Dark Zero is so long forgotten. I still remember the multiplayer matches, and rolling up some crack in the side of a rock wall to break out of bounds etc. I think the aiming system was just awful and remained bad even with adjustments. But that was a pretty fun game, and a great launch title. Quake 4 gets forgotten so badly too!
I waited out overnight at Best Buy for the XBOX 360...with the exception of the red ring of death, it was an awesome console. My launch titles that I bought when it launched were Call of Duty 2, Madden NFL 06, and Project Gotham Racing 3.
I have been waiting for the 360 era to be uploaded man I'm so excited to watch this from your biggest Aussie Fan 🇦🇺 The Best Days Are New Instalments Of My Retro Life Even like the Past Nothing Last Forever so this is definitely creating new memories that are happy Much respect 🙏 Tyler From NItheal95
You have done exactly what your father would have done if he was you! Your father will live on forever with your great commentary about your childhood. He is proud of you Tyler for doing this because , he would have done the same! I feel like your dad is the dad we all wanted, and I am glad you cherished what he did and understood his value of why he recorded everything…. He understood the value . God bless Tyler
Nice 👍 happy holidays. Yea this is so nostalgic I remember the commercial on tv with a kid running in the beach saying this is the best thing .😁. I got the arcade package little did i know that I would need to upgrade to play online didn’t know too much about it at the time .
Exactly like you I got the 360 for Christmas of the same year. I was absolutely blown away and loved PDZ, the graphics were amazing back then. I believe my experience was the exact opposite to yours. The 360 will go down as one of my top 3 consoles of all time.
Couldn’t agree more about geometry wars dude! Absolutely loved this game! I didn’t even own a 360, but wanted to play it so much I purchased it on a friends console in college when the system launched!
Dang King Kong brought back memories! I remember playing the first level at a xbox 360 demo station in a Comp USA near my house. I remember being blown away by the graphics like you mentioned. No other game had lighting and graphics that good at the time. Thanks for doing this list and putting out great content!
Loved Condemned!! I remember searching for all tbose dead birds, to get the achievement, I was looking down a tunnel to see if there were any in there, and a crazed lunatic jumped out. Scared the mess outta me! Wife was like, "I'm going to bed" , I said, me too. I ain't playing this by myself. 😅
I picked up mine in the summer of 08 with Halo and I miss that experience every day. Full custom game lobbies with everyone micd up and having a blast from 7pm to 7am. Best of times
Y'know, it's weird but Condemned is one of my favorite games. It was my first horror game, baby's first scary game, I ever played and it's what got me into that genre. It's actually extremely tame as far as that department goes. It's more about the atmosphere that makes it scary. But I'm a huge fan of detective thrillers and Condemned is the only detective thriller game that exists.
My launch 360 titles were Madden NFL 06, NBA Live 06, Fight Night Round 3, and Project Gotham Racing 3. I would say that I sunk the most hours into PGR 3 with Fight Night Round 3 coming in 2nd place. I always seen Geometry Wars but never tried it. Now that you have featured it in this video, I am going to purchase this game now and see what I have been missing!
PGR3 was really impressive for me. I spent hours and hours with this game. Never forget this. The 360 was the best experience I ever had with a console. Best community, best online service, coolest UI and damn, those games! Gears was the best, playing until 5am with my buds. Damn, wish I could experience it for the first time again...
This video brought back a lot of memories. I didn't end up getting the Xbox 360 until the Summer (July 2006) before my grade 12 year. So many memories with that system! Just some thoughts about the games you mentioned: -Perfect Dark Zero was a huge letdown, although I did have some fun with the local multiplayer. -Condemned was an amazing game, and at the time probably the scariest game I had played outside the Resident Evil franchise. I eventually got-Ridge Racer in a combo pack but never really cared for it. -Project Gotham racing was amazing, and outside of Forza, was the racing game I put the most time into. -All I remember about King Kong was that it was an easy game to get 1000 gamerscore lol. - Amped 3 was awesome! We need a good snowboarding game again! -COD 2 had a great story. This was a time when I actually enjoyed Call of Duty games. Those were the games I had the most memories of. I played Cameo and Geometry wars but never really got into those. Thank you for the video!
I bought mine on launch day after EB Games cancelled my pre-order DAY of when I went to pickup. Ended up walking through the mall and finding a skid of boxes in the tech section of Zellers. Ripped the box and they had the 20GB Premium ones. Bought it but because half the money was from my mom for Xmas I had to put it under the tree. Bought PGR3, COD2, Perfect Dark Zero, then got Geometry Wars and Hexic HD (included on the system) Had cut open the 360 box and took the console out of the Xmas packaging. Played that until Xmas Eve or the day before and carefully assembled everything. Was quite occupied with those games but my 360 got ALOT of Halo 2 multiplayer time during that first year due to friends not having the newer console. You are wrong about PDZ. Play on higher difficulties and Online was AMAZING. I stand by that. PGR3 still holds up 18 years later and is visually stunning. Great video so far! Love your channel and content!
Kameo is my favourite 360 game ♥ I still play it to this day. To me, the visuals are just magic. My second favourite 360 game, is Viva Pinata Trouble in Paradice
Geometry Wars Retro Evolved is amazing. Used to play the hell out of it with my brother Dustin. Now I still play it by myself on Xenia. R.I.P Brother. Miss you. This was a great list. I'll have to see how some of these other titles run on Xenia.
I never played the perfect dark games until recently when I tried playing Zero on Xbox One. It was so generic and boring, I know what you mean. I didn't finish the second level before turning it off. I loved condemned! It was one of the first horror games I actually finished. My friend and I would play it at the same time over Xbox chat so we could experience the same scares around the same time and it was so much fun! King Kong was decent but a one time play through. I enjoyed it for what it was, but it's kind of forgettable. For licensed it's good. Call of Duty 2 was my first CoD game and I loved it. I think I went back and played it through the painful highest difficulty. Took awhile but I did it. Thanks for calling out Kameo! Super underrated game. The childish look may have turned off people, but the game was gorgeous, it had great platforming, and an amazing soundtrack! Great video Tyler! Happy Thanksgiving!
I missed out on ridge racer 6, I did play a ton of Forza on the 360. I remember you could use the customization tool and create almost anything, I would take a Cobalt, which was a beginning stage car, paint it New York Giant blue and put the white Giants logo on the hood or the roof or the side, or put a Nike symbol on it too and you could sell your cars online to people for in-game currency. I always remember that being so cool that you could sell and buy created cars from one another, this was probably 2006 I just felt like it was a better overall game then the Gran Turismo offering on the PS3 at the same time.
That 360 launch bundle with cod2, project gotham 3, and condemned was beyond awesome, literally what gaming dreams are made of. unforgettable gaming memories : D
Condemned is a phenomenal game, once of the best day one games for any console. Got my Xbox 360 not long after launch with Perfect Dark Zero and Project Gotham Racing 3, got Condemned from my dad for Christmas and, at the time, it quickly became my favorite game on the console, absolutely love it. It's a shame Condemned 2 didn't really live up to the original. My top 10 for the X360 at launch: 1. Condemned: Criminal Origins; 2. Project Gotham Racing 3; 3. NBA 2K6; 4. Ridge Racer 6; 5. Kameo: Elements of Power; 6. Need for Speed: Most Wanted; 7. Perfect Dark Zero; 8. Quake 4; 9. Geometry Wars; 10. Hexic HD. Awesome system, one of my top 5 all-time. Gears of War, Halo 3 (my favorite 360 game and the hype leading up to launch was crazy), Xbox Live Arcade and the promotions MS would run around it like 'Spring Block Party' or 'Summer of Arcade.' So many great memories from that era.
This is cool for me because I recently started collecting for both Xbox and 360 again. I had them previously and sold them before the new rush for retro games. I miss my MW3 360 every day!
Great to see that you got to made your list of 360 games, I got the Slim version back in 2010/2011, and my first games were Halo:Reach, even if I asked to get Halo 3 at that time. Thank you for covering Condemned, I really want to play this with a friend who is now into criminology. However one question: Do you know if Mutant Storm still available on the store? I didn't know of it's existence and it comes from a guy who enjoys twinstick shooters like Heavy Weapon, yet this one screams Robotron 2084. And for top 10 Xbox 360 games, there is Crackdown 1 & 2, Fallout 3, GTA IV, Red Dead Redemption, X-Men Origins Wolverine, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Call of Duty World at War, Halo 3, ODST, Halo Wars and Reach, and the Star Wars The Force Unleashed games.
@@MyRetroLife you just made me the happiest gamer on earth and I'm thankful to hear that, I want to show this game to a friend who also loves Heavy Weapon, which I recommend to you to play because It gets really crazy when you play with 4 players. And It was made by Pop Cap the guys behind Plants vs. Zombies and Peggle.
My favorite was Pdz Perfect Dark Zero, Ridge Racer 6. Ridge racer 6 had a vibe to me still does amd its nostalgic as hell. Pdz im still stuck on the Multiplayer with bots. Never gets old
Call of Duty 2 was my number one launch game for the 360. Good call on Amped 3, great game too. Perfect Dark Zero was beyond horrible, i just couldn't believe how bad it was. Shocking. My top 3- 3# Project Gotham Racing 3. 2# Amped 3. 1# Call of Duty 2.
You’re 100% right on PDZero. I’m old school like you and felt the exact same way when I got my copy. Happy Thanksgiving my retro gaming brother from another mother.
Xbox 360 is still the best console of all time. This is coming from someone who grew up on NES/SNES/N64. Gears of War 1-3. Couldn’t play that on PS. The single player and multiplayer for that + you had Xbox live arcade which had amazing releases like the OG perfect dark, marvel vs capcom 2, street fighter 2 hd remix and street fighter 3 third strike.
I remember being in line at target and buying my core edition Xbox 360. It died via the red ring of death as did my next three Xbox 360 units. I had project Gotham racing and call of duty too on day one, and definitely downloaded geometry wars. The game that stuck out to me on the console was gears of war when it finally released. Absolutely breathtaking that first time. I also had the VGA cable at launch it's too bad I don't have it anymore.
These aren't launch titles, but Fable 2 and 3 are some of my favorite games of all time now. That sense of adventure combined with quirky characters and quest design is something that I still have yet to see in any RPG or adventure game apart from Zelda.

Same here. I remember random people stopping and watching in amazement at the Xbox 360 kiosks in retail stores. The demo of the game where it had the guys riding in the back of the convoy to start looked so realistic at the time.
@@davidj.9432 Yes. Thats the part I remember too. When you and your squad are riding on the back of the trucks into the town. So nostalgic.
Omg I remember the walmart demo days too!
Loved this game!!
I had the same feeling playing Lost Planet too, and YES, Half Life Alyx and VR in general gave me that same feeling. I highly recommend it!
I got to play that game online when I was a kid and just grappling stuff I had so much fun
I loved Geometry Wars. A buddy downloaded it while we were talking a break from Halo 3. So much fun and so addictive.
Condemned is amazing. One of the most underrated games of all time. We need a proper remaster.
Black Friday is the best time to own a FlexiSpot.
Agreed! Thank you again for sponsoring this video!
To make it worse, its like they have become more technical to play and not as fun or simplified as back in the day.
@@Ih8nine truth
We still live in a great era of gaming.
To be real King Kong 2005 games are the best movie adaption games since Aladdin and thats fact
The early days of PGR3 on Xbox LIVE will always be the most fun I've had gaming.
i got my Xbox 360 November 2006 and Gears of War was my first game, that was 17 years ago, i was 14 at that time, Damn 🎉
Kameo was such a fun game! The open world as a hub was so impressive. I hope they do eventually go back and finish Kameo 2 one day.
Loved the open world hub and the battles constantly taking place!
Because of this review I have purchased Kameo. Back in the day in the 360's hay day i never took interest in the game but had the Kameo background on my 360. I've been hearing alot about this game in different reviews so I figure I will give it a try.
@@Ih8nine I was the same as you! I had no interest and checked it out on GamePass on my XSX
Oblivion and Gears of War were awesome system sellers
You need to do a video with you reacting to every game console you got from when you were a kid to now, that would be a dope video man!👍🏼
360 truly the G.O.A.T.!
Thanks so much for the thoughtful comment! I’m glad you are enjoying the videos :-)
You made me start going back to my dad's old home videos! I found a lotttt of them! Might even make my own video responding to your channel to thank you for the nostalgic memories that makes me feel closer to my family. Thank you :) @@MyRetroLife
@@supergirlkelsThat would be so awesome to see! Hope you do that!
You're right. XBLA was excellent for games that promoted competitiveness within the friends lists. Loved it.
Found your channel from the Shenmue Christmas video, I always revisit that one
Glad you're still here! Thanks for watching
I waited out overnight at Best Buy for the XBOX 360...with the exception of the red ring of death, it was an awesome console. My launch titles that I bought when it launched were Call of Duty 2, Madden NFL 06, and Project Gotham Racing 3.
I have so many amazing memories with PGR3...
I remember being in amazement how call of duty 2 and king kong looked
Perfect Dark Zero was the reason why I paid for Xbox Live. I played it until Halo 3 came in 2007. Great times online!
I have been waiting for the 360 era to be uploaded man I'm so excited to watch this from your biggest Aussie Fan 🇦🇺
The Best Days Are New Instalments Of My Retro Life
Even like the Past Nothing Last Forever so this is definitely creating new memories that are happy

God bless Tyler
thank you!! Awesome to finally see some 6th/7th gen coverage on this valuable site. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
For the 360 I loved Elder Scrolls Oblivion, The Ghostbusters & Rainbow Six Vegas
Nice 👍 happy holidays. Yea this is so nostalgic I remember the commercial on tv with a kid running in the beach saying this is the best thing .😁. I got the arcade package little did i know that I would need to upgrade to play online didn’t know too much about it at the time .
Same to you!
Exactly like you I got the 360 for Christmas of the same year. I was absolutely blown away and loved PDZ, the graphics were amazing back then. I believe my experience was the exact opposite to yours. The 360 will go down as one of my top 3 consoles of all time.
Call of Duty 2 absolutely blew me away on my Xbox 360 ❤
Same, especially great when playing on Xbox Live!
Couldn’t agree more about geometry wars dude!
Absolutely loved this game!
I didn’t even own a 360, but wanted to play it so much I purchased it on a friends console in college when the system launched!
I just started playing my 360 again. There’s so many awesome games that are dirt cheap. And the graphics don’t look terribly far off from today.
Dang King Kong brought back memories! I remember playing the first level at a xbox 360 demo station in a Comp USA near my house. I remember being blown away by the graphics like you mentioned. No other game had lighting and graphics that good at the time. Thanks for doing this list and putting out great content!
I was in walmart and saw it on the demo screen and never saw graphics like that in my life. I was blown away.
Best of times
its crazy how old xbox 360 is now, i remember getting my first job to buy one. I was so happy when i got it!
Bro your content is so amazing and nostalgic AF
Xbox 360 holds a special place in my heart !! Will never forget the launch
Same! My favorite Xbox console
This video brought back a lot of memories. I didn't end up getting the Xbox 360 until the Summer (July 2006) before my grade 12 year. So many memories with that system! Just some thoughts about the games you mentioned:
-Perfect Dark Zero was a huge letdown, although I did have some fun with the local multiplayer.
You make it sound like you got it late, it hadn’t even been out a full year yet when you got it.
geometry wars was the jam fr ! much love to the u and the community of like minded game loving people here, i wish u all the best
Bought PGR3, COD2, Perfect Dark Zero, then got Geometry Wars and Hexic HD (included on the system)
Had cut open the 360 box and took the console out of the Xmas packaging.
Geometry Wars is incredible, still working on the achievement for surviving 60 seconds without killing anything/using a weapon.
Ohhhh mannnnn....PGR3....RIP Bizarre Creations. Sooo many great memories of PGR2, 3, and 4.
I remember thinking how realistic king kong looked when the 360 came out
I finished Perfect Dark Zero back then, it took me a while to realize it is not a great game but somehow i still enjoyed it...
happy holidays retro life!🎅🙏
I never played the perfect dark games until recently when I tried playing Zero on Xbox One.
Another great video Tyler!
I loved the 360! Played so much halo 3 and reach on this along with the Batman games and Bioshock!
Geometry Wars was one of my favorites. I still play it from time to time
i remember playing amped 3 and viva pinata around launch. such classics.
Awesome video. The 360 really had a great, balanced launch lineup. I actually forgot that XBLA launched day one with the console.
I remember the 360 is the king of frame drops and screen tearing. Really terrible for the eyes.
My top 10 for the X360 at launch:
Condemned and Condemned 2:Bloodshot were such good games !
You can still get Mutant Storm on Series X!
Just found your channel and loving the memories of the Xbox 360 launch, condemed freaked me out too
Thanks man! Really appreciate it
PGR 3 aged incredibly well. The game looks beautiful.
Xbox360 watch the best time in gaming for me!! Online community was dope asf!
My favorite was Pdz Perfect Dark Zero, Ridge Racer 6. Ridge racer 6 had a vibe to me still does amd its nostalgic as hell. Pdz im still stuck on the Multiplayer with bots. Never gets old
The only console I wasn’t able to score at launch. My parents even tried for me that Christmas. I wound up finding one the following June.
It was so hard to get this one at launch!
I loved condemned! 🤘🏻You've got to give it another shot
You’re 100% right on PDZero. I’m old school like you and felt the exact same way when I got my copy. Happy Thanksgiving my retro gaming brother from another mother.
you shouldn't be playing copies anyway
Kameo Is such an underrated game .
I loved it’s so much as a kid.
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 was my favorite 360 game, I played that and Call of Duty 4 religiously
Good content, Man always enjoy watching your videos. The videos you have that you're kind enough to share with us are the closest thing we have to a time machine!!
COD 2 is still one of my all time favs Stalingrad and Normandy levels stand out hardcore to me
Dude ur channel is awesome!!! Love every video!!
Glad you enjoy it!
I have no idea how I ended up discovering the Channel but I am super glad I did !!
I respect that #1 choice. I played that game for as long as I played my 360.
For those who don't know, GeometryWarsEvolved is part of PGR3 when you walk into your garage you can find an Arcade machine and it will launch
