I love Squid and Squid-guard. Squid version 6.6 in pfSense has some issues for pfSense 24. FreeBSD updates Squid but pfSense has no maintainer right now…

Thanks for the positive feedback. Yes you absolutely can use Squid in transparent mode without the need for certificates or proxy config settings in windows.
