Saw these guys Saturday night at Winfield. Killer set on Stage 1 to close. Never heard of Trey, but he is one of the best flatpickers I've ever heard. Learning dobro and Rob is an inspiration. Cheers!
Well, you've heard about love givin' sight to the blind My baby lovin' cause the sun to shine She my sweet little thing She my pride and joy She my sweet little baby I'm her little lover boy Yeah, I love my baby Heart and soul Love like ours won't never grow old She my sweet little thing She my pride and joy She my sweet little baby I'm her little lover boy Yeah, I love my Lenee She long and lean You mess with her You'll see a man get mean She my sweet little thing She my pride and joy She my sweet little baby I'm her little lover boy Well, I love my baby Like the finest wine Stick with her until the end of time She my sweet little thing She my pride and joy She my sweet little baby I'm her little lover boy Yeah, I love my baby Heart and soul Love like ours won't never grow old She my sweet little thing She my pride and joy She my sweet little baby I'm her little lover boy
Sum sure-enough Nashville cats covering a classic they've polished on the road. Great recording. Video work is top notch too. I imagine musicians are thrilled to be on Compass Records.😎
Hey Rob , I love you but I give credit to Pat as the best musician because he loves all us underlings. I’ve played and sang with him for years. Great voice and can pick. He’s my favorite. But thanks for you’re input!
Saw these guys last night in Ann Arbor MI. with Tommy Emmanuel and David Grisman. Never saw (and heard) so much musical talent in one place. They were awesome. Go see them if you get the chance.
For some reason my wife's pic comes up when I post, Oh well, she is a lot better looking than me, right Trey? I have had the pleasure and priviledge of singing with Trey when he had his Blues Band, Driving Miss Crazy. He could be an excellent blues or rock guitarist as well as a Bluegrass picker. The really great thing I like about Trey Hensley is his personality and humble character. I am proud to call him friend, and I hope I can have the joy of joining him on stage just one more time. Randy Broyles
I saw you guys play in the rain last week at the Cataloochee Ranch and y'all nailed it. Best show I have seen in ages. You've got a damn good thing going. Keep it up.
I know Rob has a great voice, I sing harmony with his brother Pat all the time. I think he should jump in with harmony and take it up another notch! He’s got the instrument down.
Round about 3:06-> -> ( strating at 2:56) Mr. Ickes shows he really really knows how to play ONE note. A skill thart eludes a number of hotshots. And he SETS HIMSELF UP for those notes. Slide and steel and dobro players have the option of being in-and-out of tune willfully.
" It’s an Owens guitar...made by Louis Owens (Dolly Parton’s uncle) in Sevierville, TN, back in the early 2000’s. It’s basically a D-18 (mahogany back and sides) with 28 appointments...and a Lester pickguard with Lester style inlays. It’s one of a kind for sure." quoted from Trey himself 2 years ago.
Stevie Ray would DEFINITELY approve of this.
Awesome! Never heard this played with Dobro...amazing!
They're at Birdfest Music Festival, Pinewood, SC, this weekend (May 5-6, 2023).
Saw these guys Saturday night at Winfield. Killer set on Stage 1 to close. Never heard of Trey, but he is one of the best flatpickers I've ever heard. Learning dobro and Rob is an inspiration. Cheers!
Folks who’ve not tried an acoustic version of this, have no idea what it takes buddy . You two are the bomb !!
Wow! Great SRV tribute. 👏🏻
Wow Trey and Rob are so good!!
These guys are SO good! My kind of music. As good as they pick, the best quality of the act may be Hensley's vocals. Incredible voice!
Just saw Trey and Rob live last night. Never heard of Trey before. Now he's my new favorite guitar hero. Simply amazing.
These kids born with guitars in their hands sure get good
Well, you've heard about love givin' sight to the blind
My baby lovin' cause the sun to shine
She my sweet little thing
She my pride and joy
She my sweet little baby
I'm her little lover boy
Yeah, I love my baby
Heart and soul
Love like ours won't never grow old
She my sweet little thing
She my pride and joy
She my sweet little baby
I'm her little lover boy
Yeah, I love my Lenee
She long and lean
You mess with her
You'll see a man get mean
She my sweet little thing
She my pride and joy
She my sweet little baby
I'm her little lover boy
Well, I love my baby
Like the finest wine
Stick with her until the end of time
She my sweet little thing
She my pride and joy
She my sweet little baby
I'm her little lover boy
Yeah, I love my baby
Heart and soul
Love like ours won't never grow old
She my sweet little thing
She my pride and joy
She my sweet little baby
I'm her little lover boy
True champoins of music. Incredible what two people can do with instuments and a good set of vocals!
Good picking is a total understatement!
This song is pretty good, but it could use a little more pick guard. Much love Trey & Rob, you two are amazing!
and more Cowbell
😂😂😂😂😂 right?
This is incredible! Bravo to both of you!
Awesome...Stevie Ray would love this...wow

Awsome boys😅😅😅
Just saw them in Telluride. No words! My socks have been missing for hours.
Likewise for me -- no words suffice! (my socks likewise gone)
Unbelievable
Nice to see you play a little Blues instead of country. I kind of fell out of love with country about 20 years ago when I discovered blues music
Dang. Can't wait to see these guys on Tennessee Shines Radio Show at Boyd's Jig & Reel on March 11. Trey Hensley is from right here in East Tennessee!
Really enjoyed this! Excellent guitar work.

Excellent
Excellent!!!!!!!!
Stevie Ray would be pleased😄
Well done.
That pick guard must be fireproof.
Believe it or not. This started by trey singing a scratch vocal that never got scratched. IMO. Inside story I heard about a bit back in Jonesboro, Tn.
I know Rob has a great voice, I sing harmony with his brother Pat all the time. I think he should jump in with harmony and take it up another notch! He’s got the instrument down.
He does on a few tunes, if you've seen other videos of him and Trey playing, he's usually harmonizing especially in more recent videos.
Awesome!
Very cool!
Does anyone know what acoustic he is playing here????
Dammit man!!!!!!
Ya know it when you’ve got it.. 😉
Stereo is flipped - that's driving me crazy!
I can't play a note, but guitar and dobro go well here :)
Great
Youch!!!
Damn I broke the like button sorry !!!
Yep needs more pickin, less shufflin' But still freaking awesome! SRV would have loved this.
I think im goin to sell my guitar,,, again!!

Nice Bluegrass
all i could think was "where are the chop chords?" still a nice cover.
I'll say this is possibly the best relationship between Dobro & Guitar.
3:17 !
Where can you get that Trey Hensley pick guard? Anyone know?
Son...............
🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
Owens guitar?Washburn?
" It’s an Owens guitar...made by Louis Owens (Dolly Parton’s uncle) in Sevierville, TN, back in the early 2000’s. He's got that nervous twitch in his hands. wrists, and fingers, don't take anything to fix it !!!!
Gee whiz I could do that.. LOL
better
voice than vaughan...
+Yanis Bouchema nope
they do a pretty good version not Stevie but not bad i say
Hackers, you guys ruined SRV song and picking
