This and Endless Story were played back to back to slow it down on their 2022 US tour. Akani the drummer cried playing Endless Story in Chicago their last stop. Never had a drummer make me cry before.

"Daydreaming," "YOLO," "Puzzle,” and a host of others are world-class masterpieces. Although I love Daydreaming just the way it is and believe it may be Band-Maid's best composed and overall accessible song, I've always wonder if it was sung in English, how deep in the international market Daydreaming would have traveled...? I agree with everything you said. This song is always near the top of the "favorite Band-Maid song" polls. It's about yearning; she's daydreaming about someone she can't stay with. It smolders, growing slowly from verse to chorus, and from the first verse to the second verse, until it bursts into flames with the guitar solo. I get goosebumps every time. "Stay with me tonight. Hold on, feel my soul."
MISA is an amazing bassist. And band Maid is so diverse. You should check out the live performance of the two songs Manners and Blackhole together👍
Having Daydreaming as a favorite BM song is not unheard of ;-)
It is a bittersweet song. About someone daydreaming how a failed relationship could have been made right. The ruins they play in are a metaphor for that relationship. Filmed in Taiwan.
Page and At the Drop of a Hat are two other great ballads
Some better than me once described Kanami's solo in Daydreaming as a burst dam of pent up emotion. Akin to crying out or a shriek of emotional pain.
The catalog of these ladies has many songs that have a lot to offer, even slower and more emotional songs, but this is the song that stole my heart the first time I heard it, spoke to me, brought tears to my eyes, and still manages to do all of that over and over again to this day. My #1 of these ladies and generally one of the best songs I know. ❤🔥🤘🏻

It's not easy to write a beautiful song. Simple isn't necessarily easy. If this was in English, it'd have rocketed them to the top - which is a sad commentary on things. And yep, this guitar solo gets me every time. What an incredible song by an incredible band!

I'd be going for a set list that was predominantly like "Don't You Tell Me", "Rinne", "Moratorium" 'The Non Fiction Days" days etc. The permutations are endless.🤷♂️

Acoustic: "Sayonakidori" The rythym guitarist/back-up vocalist, Miku, steps into the spotlight and delivers an emotional song.
Live: "Play" is a classic live performance.
Live Stream: "Manners/Black Hole" No audience because of COVID, MISA kills it on bass, one of my favorite videos.
BAND-MAIKO: "Gion-cho" This is an alternate version of the band that has a different aesthetic, beautiful video and song.

Thanks for your reaction. Daydreaming is one out many many fantastic songs by the Maids. My #1 is Manners, not because I claim it to be the best, but the type of stile is perfect for me and it was the first I heard by Band Maid and for me that song started a musical journey that means a lot to me. There is an offical MV for Manners and official live (combined with the song Black Hole), both are great. You can’t really go wrong though, I prefer to listen to Band Maid per album, that is how good they are. Have fun! :)

Saiki and Kaname used to do an acoustic set during their concert doing an acoustic version of Puzzle and another song ANEMONE. So much emotion and pain is conveyed infact at on point Saiki looks like she's going to cry.
They seem to be better at everything than you think they are going to be…. Every time.
Saiki (lead vocalist) does emotional songs really well. You would like Puzzle Acoustic (only available on other video web sites) -- a heart-felt lament: it is just a voice (Saiki, lead vocalist) and an acoustic guitar (Kanami, lead guitarist). "About Us" -- a love song for their fans that they hadn't seen during Covid lockdown -- is another emotional song.

Daydreaming is one of my favorite Band-Maid songs also. Listened to it many times. But just this time, playing in the ruins, I felt that it was bitter-sweet remembrance.
May I recommend Arcadia Girl. Written for the band in earlier days. Their cover of Honey by Mucc for a tribute album. Finally, Matchless Gum. Another cover if I remember rightly.

Another slow... "About us" was written for the Budokan show, which sadly got cancelled because of the pandemic.
Every Japanese artist dream about playing there, so it was very heartbreaking to see them doing a stream concert. 😢 still: they played it❤

BAND-MAID are good at everything. However, if you're digging the softer side of BAND-MAID, 'Before Yesterday' also fits. Or you could try the acoustic version of, 'Puzzle'.

This is a rumor started by fans. Jimmy Page saw the band perform and after asked if he could get a photo with the drummer and she thought she was being pranked but found out that it was legit. The photo of Akane & Jimmy Page together can be found on the internet.
I think they were in Taiwan for an Awards show and they filmed this MV there. Same with Memorable which they filmed while they were in SoCal.
