Spaghetti Squash Recipe:
Ingredients:
Spaghetti squash
Feta Cheese
Cherry tomatoes
Minced Garlic
Olive oil & sea salt
.
Directions:
1.Preheat oven to 400F
2.Cut spaghetti squash in half - I like to use a really sharp knife and cut off the ends to stand it up
3.Scoop out seeds from inside
4.Drizzle with olive oil and sea salt and add minced garlic to each side
5.Add a generous amount of feta cheese and cherry tomatoes to each side
5.Bake until tomatoes burst - about an hour
6.Top with basil and a little balsamic

I’ve found walking outside helped me with the belly fat. I do 10,000 steps
Great job walking for 10k steps. Fit Bit is my best friend for keeping track of steps. Keep it up and challenge yourself everyday.

Loving the idea of the self care calendar! It's so easy to let those kind of things go, the calendar is great! Also very excited about the boutique! So good that you can stick to eating healthy when you babysit your grandkids, I used to drive to Pittsburgh from Ellwood city 2 days a week to babysit my grandkids and eating healthy was very hard for me to do. Ended up eating same thing they wanted for lunch, usually Mac and cheese or peanut butter and jelly sandwich. (Now they are in school and no longer need Meemaw to babysit). I agree with you when you say you do your best thinking in the shower, I have always said that!

Karen please be careful with statin drugs. I realize everyone reacts differently, but my dad started having memory issues while he was on them, got severe dementia and has since passed. Memory issues are common. Dizziness is also a symptom in some people. Congrats on your sweet granddaughter ❤. Also you are NOT dull :)
wow I didn’t know that, I’m on a statin, low dose that I’ve been trying to wean myself off of them, my Dr doesn’t know I’m doing this but I get dizzy spells where I have to just stop and close my eyes until it passes, I’m 70.
@@BlingyBea They are really scary drugs. When my dad started taking statins in his early 60’s, I warned my mom about the side effects. Once he started having memory issues, she had him stop taking them. However it was too late. He declined quickly. Spent his last years in memory care. My mom became a widow at age 70. There is a video on PowerfulJRE called Cardiologist on the Over-Prescribing of Statins for Heart Disease. It’s a year old. I would recommend a listen and read the comments. There is essentially no benefit from a statin according to this cardiologist. Half way through he says ‘if you take a statin for 5 years having had a heart attack, it will extend your life expectancy by 4 days’. Big Pharma is a profitable business and they want everyone on medication sadly. I wish you wonderful health ❤️

I would never touch statins, so dangerous!
I'm going to try the oats but if you are using flax seeds, they need to be ground. We can't digest the whole seed. I ground mine abd put in the freezer until I use them. They need to be used immediately after grounding, or frozen. They go rancid if you don't. ❤
A huge piece of advice for menopause….. have 20-30 grams of protein at each meal and cut way back on carbs.🙂🙂🙂
dull??? are you kidding? no way, you are full of life, filled w/ enthusiasm!! Flax seed is so good for you but it makes my stomach swell because it turns to gel. Oats are so great and filled with fiber!! I eat them every other day. Steel cut oats are the most nutritious, I put pecans, chopped up Fuji apples, cinnamon (no bananas too much natural sugar they make me swell) and no sugar sweeten w/ honey or maple syrup (maple is actually very nutritious) or golden raisins. Eat a lot of cruciferous veggies, (cancer preventive) I stir fry mine in olive oil. Pilates is great one needs to do some type of workout each day to prevent stiff joints aka arthritis. Eating avocados gives you that most needed fat but not saturated. Be sure and put on serum before you do your makeup. I get a planner each year from charities I give to and I use that for everything. Drink that tonic each day. 1 t. honey, ginger, turmeric, lemon juice and 1 t. vinegar I make it warm add honey AFTER you heat it. also a good preventive measure. Love your recipes!! gotta try the squash i love it! you use shakeology? it's great isn't it?? i love beachbody i do all my workouts with them they have so many!! I also grow my own basil, regular and 2 pots of lemon...have a great day!!

Oh my goodness Karen that’s so exciting. I’m so so happy I think you need the BOUTIQUE🛍️🛍️🛍️. I’m sure it will go just wonderful.❤️. I have some food ideas for you in fact as I’m watching this video I made homemade chicken nuggets. It’s very easy so I’m just gonna text it here. Take 1 pound of ground chicken or turkey in a bowl add two eggs or two egg whites whichever you like doesn’t matter, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese, but not the one in the green bottle. Use the graded one it all together and make small little nuggets with your tiny cookie scoop or medium one and then roll them in some Panko breadcrumbs And air fry them six minutes per side and as you put them in spray the top with olive oil and they are yummy and protein!!!
If you love cottage cheese or like it a little and a few cottage cheese recipes I can also send you some of those snacks things, but you may have seen already. I’ll be glad to share them with you.

I heard if you microwave the spaghetti sauce for 5 minutes you are able to cut it and then bake in the oven.

When I make spaghetti squash I poke holes like you would a baked potato. Put it in the microwave for a few minutes to soften and then I cut it. Helps so much ! I read somewhere spaghetti squash send a lot of people to the ER! I love it but hate cutting it ! I love your videos so look forward to them.

Karen... whenever I buy spaghetti squash at the grocery store... I just ask the guy in that section to cut it in half for me and he does!!! Love the recipe.. love feta and balsamic! I will definitely try this. Pretty soon you won't have time for a blog... Nona will be taking care of the grandkids.. haha

Put your squash in the microwave for about 4 minutes to soften it. It is so much easier to cut. Make sure you put some slits in it so it won’t explode.

Do you have an iPhone 14 Pro Max? If so that may be the problem. I’ve had the same problems as you. If you google iPhone 14 Pro Max CarPlay problems it will probably bring up lots of people with the same problem. My kids have a 13 and a 15 and they worked perfectly. Mine has actually started working about a week ago. If the corded doesn’t work - try disconnecting the Bluetooth on the CarPlay settings and then reconnect. That worked for me when I had to go back to wired.

Karen, Good Morning, today's video made me laugh. Enjoyed the cooking portion.
My routine for self care is to put on the face mask (Korean)in the morning while I drink my morning coffee and do my regular house cleaning. Leave the mask on for 2hrs. That will moisturize your skin and you won’t be dull!
