Not to be confused with the German girl group, Saphir, this particular Saphir were three German males who were active recording artists in the mid-80s. Their debut album, “Perfect Combination” was released in 1985. It gave rise to two German hit singles, “Shot In The Dark (#37, 1985) and “I Am Alive” (#46, 1986). The album also featured a revival of Redbone’s “Witch Queen Of New Orleans”.
