Is the distance between the bend line and the edge of the flange the same number that the press brake stop is supposed to be set at? If the flange is a 1" flange, and the flat pattern has a distance of .92" between the flange edge and the bend line, should the press brake stop be set at 0.9"?
The press brake stop should be set at the distance between the bend line and the edge of the flange, which in this case is 0.92" for a 1" flange. Therefore, you should set the press brake stop at 0.92" for accurate bending
In bend allowance we are calculating the bend Arc length whereas in bend deduction we are projecting line from bend called as outside setback. So in bend deduction is different between bend allowance and outside setback. If you say in the real scenario we need to calculate the k factor by reverse engineering and after that we can calculate the developed length of part from bend allowance or bend deduction. I hope you got your answer 😊 Stay connected.......keep supporting 🤝
Super Explanation! Thank you!

nice sir
Thank you for your comment 😊
A small question ,practically wht is the diffrnc in bend allowance and bend deduction in real world
