Amazing stories. Hard times grew strong people but. Now most are playing computer games and vaping little creeps.
Thankfully there are some exceptions like the youth's inspired and coached by frank and people like him .

    great podcast.
I am currently learning to be a coach in Scotland and so far it has cost me a fortune.
Remember it is a voluntary role so you give up your own time, pay for your fuel aswell.
I have had to pay to learn pad work, learn how to box , and i am in my 40's, i'm also leaning how to be an official, no training just given a sheet of paper and judge the shows, there should be a mentor for people who are wanting to become officials but there is nothing!!!.
If you are affiliated to Boxing Scotland it's £175 to do your level 1 course, £250 if you are not.
Going to shows all over the country to learn to be an official can be expensive, you don't get travel expenses but qualified officials do.
I am only doing it for the love of the sport and to help our youth, if you don't have that love you can easily see why people walk away from it.
Clubs and Districts are crying out for new volunteers and officials, make it more cost effective AND more welcoming for new people to come into the sport.
