Just to note. In this situation, where you have an AI like this that you KNOW is going to always join against you, it's worth getting the Humiliate CB. if you enforce it, they can't join any plays against you for 5 years.
Small note on your history intro, while Japan did have some natural resources, what I've understood is that one of the major reasons for their expansion into Asia was the lack of resources like iron and coal that were required for large scale industrialization.
in short there is iron and coal in japan alongside small amounts of oil and other vital resources. Japan was just in nead of more and the oil was their biggest weakness alongside ruber and during ww2 the US embargo on oil exports was the final push needed, that resorted to japan choosing war with US. Modern Japan has many companies that place at least in top 10 for Iron, steal, nikiel and others
Ah. My favorite nation to play, and with the most loveliest fan arts. Seriously, once you get the ball rolling, you pretty much become an industrial era Rome, but with more prosperity, and presumably, a lot of... incidents in cities. War is messy after all.
This is a great guide. However my luck states that the 80% chance of succes is not enough and we need 4 more stall before we pass the law with only 5% succeschance left. Out of options i use the ai wanting to open my market to open my market.
Love your series on Vicky 3 "not really major during the period" nations that were ducked over(China) or ducked themselves over(Russian Empire) during the period. However may I ask weird question in regards to Japan? What is the player supposed to do in say multiplayer if both China and Russia are both players too and both decided to look east? Can Japan preserve its independence then?
I’d imagine in multiplayer that your survival really depends on your diplomacy with other players. Make strong friends that would have an interest in your region (maybe the US or Britain?)
@@souptime1554yea the US should especially have interest in Japan, as the US will likely try to avoid europe and focus on the rest of the worlds diplomacy
Like others have said, in multiplayer, everything changes. Presumably, you could talk to the rivals of whichever powers are coming after you and try to negotiate some kind of deal. Maybe offer America a treaty port, and in exchange they keep you safe from everyone coming after you. Idk, never played vic 3 multiplayer before.
you go historical with the Prussian/german Player vs Russia. China will have plenty of problems at the beginning with GB breathing down their neck too.
As a player, you cannot join plays against someone who you have a truce with (not just start, but even to support someone they're attacking) even though the AI can
Thank you for the quick explanation on how to aim for Mulitculturalism. I knew about the Anarchist but not the Humanist. There still isn't way other than exiling an IG leader to force a change correct? Which means i need to do that before enacting Protected Speech.
HInt, you dont need to destroy all the baracks besides the capital. create a second army. with like 6 units form the capital and take the marjor bulk towards any front. There are 3 frotnlines usually. as you have a seocnd army but the Ai (rebellion) has just one you can conquer everything from the other front lines while your major party of the army and the AI army are fighting. you win this mahor fight automatically the moment all rebellion provinces are conquered.
Everytime I play as an asian nation european powers gets way too strong quickly as they keep focusing on the army aide and are being hyper aggressive. Any help?
Yes, but I wanted to rule over China for the purpose of the roleplay in the run. It also would have been a bit nonsensical to annex China in the first place if I intended to release them again, but yeah, if you reenact this playthrough, just don't annex China to begin with.
"somewhat historical manner" nooooo, I wanted completely ahistorical game breaking :( Everyone always just goes co-prosperity, I want Japanese California, Australia and Africa :/ edit: ring of fire is deffo ahistorical and patrician tier reading, so sad he died and the dudes following him aint trot like he was
The funny thing about the whole prosperity sphere is that it's not just "hey, let's play historical Japan because history" it's that as Japan you NEED that lumber in Manchuria to continue expanding your economy. If you don't move into Manchuria (or somewhere else with lumber) you'll start running out of wood. Therefore, an ahistorical run is relatively difficult. It's one of my favorite things about Japan in the game: the demands of your economy encourage actual imperialism, unlike some other states who don't really need to imperialize unless they're hitting billions of GDP.
Japan : -Has completed The [Ruler Name] Restoration -Is a Junta, or both : -Has Law Autocracy or Law Single-Party State -Does not have Law theocracy Empire of Japan : -Law Monarchy -Has completed The [Ruler Name] Restoration -Has Law Autocracy or Single-Party State
I wish for guides that actualy work, Landowners always come back, I cant thrive, cant Restorate and even russia mingled in the civil wars. Japan is not made to be a Democracy.

1:16 watch for 14 seconds then go to 25:27
It just works
You make the best Vic 3 videos. Great mix of RP, creative approach, technical analysis and historical context. Keep it up!

@@TarkusarkusarNever olayed huh? Cuz if half of MP players would think like u that would be nice.
The AI isnt breaking rules here. You can always join if they are the offender in a war
13:32 the AU doesn't break truces. Truces means that you can't start a diplo play, that doesn't mean that they can't join an existing one

Ah nation of warcrimes we don't talk about because *ANIME*
Yeah, the latter caused much more damage than the former
Of course. Just like you wouldn't talk about someone's jaywalking if they became a raper.

I don't know, I kinda like like it, actually.
Tried this out and deleted all the armies except for Kansai and somehow the rebels still had over 26 divisions...? Why and how?
It’s because of conscription centres, but you can still win the war against the conscripts with your barracks soldiers

Meanwhile I got attacked by Brits in a month without even dismantling my barracks ._.
And a russia video too please

A bit hard to listen to because it sounds like you read from a script with barely any inflection what so ever, just one singular droning voice.

Wait wait wait, Japan has *ample resources*? That feels.. Inaccurate?
