I feel your pain!!! I have an 8 wheel. Wish someone had warned me about 6 years ago!!! I just came in from the field with thick hay and been fighting it all afternoon!! It is great in thin or med hay. But thats it!!
Why I keep the old New Holland handy for these times.
Raise the arms until front wheels are just off the ground that will open the back up for the crop to pass through.
your rake in heavy hay has to be set steeper, which means not as wide. that will help
