The next 3 years was decent the Bobcats had already been established as a playoff team but was still unable to reach the finals. After their loss in the ECF, that is when the big change began. The 2015-2016 season, an unexpected guard heavy team with possible only one real big man, many thought the GM might have lost it, how wrong they were. The 7 win bobcats, a sham of an nba team, one of the worst teams in nba history, had finally bounced back. 70-12, 70-12, the only team who ever achieved such a record was the 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls, now its shared by the once 7 win Charlotte Bobcats team. Michael can’t believe his eyes, Charlotte residents can’t believe their eyes, could this possible be their year, could this legendary record prophesize their long awaited championship. If the record didn’t secure, their star player did, not Steph who was traded to the team and put up good scoring numbers, it was the Bobcats’ own 2nd overall pick, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, living up to why he was the 2nd overall pick and winning the MVP, the first in Bobcats franchise history to ever win MVP. Even if Charlotte had been able to keep the hornets he still would have been the first to win MVP in that franchises history. But that wasn’t end of the newfound greatness of the MVP MKG, not alone leading his team to the finals but sweeping Denver Nuggets who also had swept the 3-peat OKC in the WCF. Securing the franchises first championship and winning the finals MVP, proving himself to be killer in regular and post-season. Bobcat fans can rejoice and finally be among one of the nba teams to have finally won a championship. Charlotte is already planning the parade for their new Champions and Michael fucking Jordan hands Michael Kidd-Gilchrist a cigar and lights it for him, even lights himself one, in fact everybody in that franchise got a cigar from Mike that day even the janitors. the 2012 bobcats had the worst front line in nba history i swear once boris diaw got traded...like jesus christ for sure since the merger and maybe the past 50+ years and its not like he played well either cause he saw how bad the roster was so he wanted to be traded...they had 1 year out of g league byron mullens injured out of shape tyrus thomas and a rookie bismack biyombo plus g leaguer dj white as their 4 main bigs lol and played ancient eduardo najera in some games and old desagna diop actual minutes that year...they were bad on both ends...no wonder why they were so bad...their sf length wings were awful besides the occasional game with corey maggette getting real minutes at sf which was rare being a true sg and all...like their sfs were jamario moon as a free agent later on in the year g leaguers derrick brown and reggie williams plus the occasional sf minutes for sg matt carroll..again if you take away corey maggette who played sg minutes majority of the time and boris diaw who played at 75% speed during his time there that year and then got traded early, this frontline was a joke at the time..looking back its less of a joke but going into games no one had heard of these guys once diaw left and corey was out hurt..like who were these dudes in 2012?...no one knew...they had games post diaw when corey d.j. and tyrus were out and they were playing literally bums at sf pf and c and at backup point guard and expecting to win lol..yeah ok..and its not like matt carroll as a bakcup sg is much better
if healthy the 2012 bobcats could of been a 19-20 win team for sure...kemba d.j. gerald as a three man guard lineup with corey at sf diaw at center tyrus at pf and byron as a 7th man backing them up with an occasional bismack moment in there and some matt carroll threes an occasional jamario moon dunk and dj white put back...they had 8 real nba players that could win some games if given enough time together as a unit with ok late 2nd string and 3rd string talent...their issue was their season was a mess and their coach sucked

if anyone played 2k13 you remember how op kd harden ibaka and russ were...they were so athletic its insane...their limitations in real life were barely relevant in the game..you could just get to the rim with them in the half court at will or hit a 14-16 foot mid range jumper when open all day with all 4 of them despite russ harden and ibaka not being shooters yet...it was unfair...they were the most perfect 2k team of that 4 year era from 2k10-2k13..for sure.....no team was that unguardable in those 4 games...i remember leaving ibaka open all the time and him killing me or harden on corner shots
