Yeah, I literally bought this same guitar (V100. Paradise) yesterday and I'm itching for the delivery. I can't wait! A little worried as my brother owns a Vintage Lemon Drop which I was absolutely blown away with. I'd never heard of them and just couldn't believe how it played (and sounded). The action is so close that I doubt there would be any space between strings and neck if I placed a plectrum between. I just really hope it wasn't a one off. My bro seemed certain it was shipped straight from factory, which means it hasn't had any pro setup before I saw it. I hope mine is as nice!!
How would this compare to the harley benton sc-550 ii gotoh PAF? The harley benton one is £100 cheaper, has gotoh tuners, tesla opus-1 humbuckers, stainless steel frets, but a more generic bridge, compared to the wilkinson one. The nut is a graphite one, but not branded. The body and neck is meranti, not mahogany. I've seen people say that they're fairly comparable.
They're both great options. Harley Bentons have a reputation for varying a lot in quality, but my brother and I have a few and ours are all really good. Vintage in my experience is more consistent and personally I'd put their V100s a tier above the Harley Benton single cuts, but the Gotoh series is said to be a step above other HB guitars so maybe they're closer. I will say the Vintage is all Wilkinson hardware, Trevor Wilkinson is a pretty famous hardware designer, and the Vintage company is passionate about what they do. Plus tbh I've never heard any Harley Benton pickups I liked, I consider upgrading them near necessary on their guitars, whereas the Wilkinson humbuckers tend to be very good. But you really can't go wrong with Harley Benton unless you get a lemon anyway, and Thomann will do free returns from the UK if needed.
That's one crazy flame veneer. Looks really nice. I've seen a few here and there but not with that top. Did you pick it? or whoever sent it to you by chance?
Hi, friend !! I have that same guitar but in one of the early versions, it has a smoother grain. What processor are you using to get that sound in the video? Greetings.
Yep, I guess it is. Never tried an Harley Benton, hopefully I can get one here on the channel to try it out. And Yes, Goldtop would be really cool!🤘 Thanks for watching🙏😊
The vintage is come with just a little more hardware quality, unless issues in the ceiling and binding in my opinion. Those Harley bentons are just getting better and better by the month though. I really should buy one so I can custom it out myself
I own one exactly like it, i find it very good sounding with distortion, especially on the bridge pickup, but the clean tone is very bad, so bad i can't even begin to explain, I don't know if it's the pickups or the wood, but i tried like 3 vintage afd100 guitars at the store, they all sounded very thin when played clean.
Hey! To be honest, I don’t use a lot clean tones, I like the bridge pickup a lot for distortion tones, not so much the neck one, it sounded like it’s not a well matched pair🤨
Why are the recently made ones nothing like slash's Derrig any more? That finish is way OTT. Also they no longer replicate a Les Paul, have Gibson given them a warning?

Hey! That was for a demo video for a local store, I didn’t keep it. Great guitar considering the price👌

This came long before the harley benton one and far superior

Appetite for The Russians? Hahaha. I like pick ups. They sounds rock n' roll to me. 4:49 Goosebumps starts here. Music was music back then.
It's made in "Vietnam" not "China".
