Just one thing I don’t agree with is when you said ‘the job description is a wishlist’, I’m a recruiter with 20 years experience and every job role is different but it has essential and desirable criteria and the essential criteria are non-negotiable, meaning you must have them and the desirable ones on the other hand are ‘nice to have’., the latter I would say is a wishlist because they aren’t essential. Then some hiring managers are more flexible than others and may be willing to take on less experienced staff and pay them less but again it depends on the job role, the job market at the time, training budget etc.
@@greenbeauties Thank you so much for this feedback! It’s always great to hear from recruiters directly🫶🏽. I’ll pin your comment for others to learn from!
Great work, and totally agree with your point regarding whether or not to put "open to work" on your LinkedIn profile! (And just everything you said about LinkedIn in general!). I'd love to know how you edited these videos perhaps as a new video content idea for bussing creators? Your editing (and thumbnails look good!)-unless you outsourced this in which case a video on how you organised that😂
Hi Cookie! Thank you for this video. It was very Insightful. Please, I would love to know how you choose the corporate communication path given your academic background.
Great suggestion! I’ll explain it in another video but a quick summary is that I worked in marketing during the pandemic and I’ve been a freelance social media manager since 2018. All these just made me want to actually have a communications career.
I think if you go physically to the job shop in your city. Most city councils have a job shop and ask them what companies need volunteers. They should have a list.

That open to work bit just makes you look needy. And the opportunity to down pay you comes into play.
