Ingot teary eyed when you said something abt the ranking. My bias is Dae no questions asked but Ri has a special place in my heart. It's like having a space in your stomach for desserts. He is that special to me. He's not even my top 2, like 1.5 if that is acceptable. So, I feel really guilty here because I once laughed at the fan’s ranking Ji twice. But that was when I first started Bigbang journey and was not a VIP or VVIP back then. Later on whenever I watched these, I hurt for Ri. Every freaking time! Of court he showed that he wasn’t affected a bit, but he was indeed. In my head its 4 ppl opinions ranking out of thousands. We saw a lot of VI signs so there are people that will put him as his favorite. Just that they were unlucky to not get picked. Honestly feel at least one them said seungri last as joke isn't how they really feel (they thought it be funny). If I was there I would put him second since he was my bias breaker. My bias is GD. If i can put all them #1 I would since I love them tremendously. They are my fav group in the whole celeb world.

Ri’s scalp took a toll after heavy bleaching for a whole year, the MADE era you know. He probably had to have his hair roots rebleached throughout that time as well. And for him to go completely platinum, I bet they must have double or even triple bleached his hair each time. He said he couldn’t go back to bleaching his hair in The Great Seungri album Making, I think.

Tbh, the ranking jokes makes me upset too 🥺 even though its the member inside jokes them being playful but when some VIPs added to the "jokes" it will result and can makes a member sad deep inside (though it is just a joke) As VIP, we love or like all members and we all have a biases for sure, but please dont rank especially infront of them (even though it is meant only for a joke) It will makes people upset, lowkey sad instead of bringing joy. I'm just going to express my opinion on this. I watched a lot of variety shows especially running man. I noticed that each cast of running man have their own role. And one of the role is the one who is responsible to take all the bullies and teasing. And I think same thing happened here. I also sometimes feels like the hyungs teased him like A LOT and tbh, I don't really like it. But, we don't really know what happened behind the scene. If you noticed, despite them bullying him, gd really trying his best to make him feel better by joking "you're in my heart" and Taeyang telling his fans off "Seungri is part of BIGBANG, not staff".
In all the Korean shows I’ve watched I get the feeling that there is a sense of “mean humor” that kind of makes fun of the guests but it’s brushed off as normal. I don’t say that to excuse meanness or bullying, but I think what you said about taking on roles is worth considering when people try to read into jokes and unserious comments. As far as BigBang goes I feel they have a “no one bullies him but me” attitude towards Seungri. Obviously rude jokes and comments made within a friend group are different than hearing them from a stranger. The members like to tease him a lot, but when outsiders try to jump in they’re quick to shut it down or reassure Ri because that sort of thing crosses a boundary.
I love this comment & soooo agree with you. I think this is my point too, they can make those jokes because they're so close but them doing it opens it up to all the fans too (of course). So suddenly fans start making the same jokes and it's only a matter of time before fake fans start coming in and using those jokes to fuel an internal war. Its so unnecessary and Ri is a prime example, I can imagine that when his new broke out all these cockroaches came out to use all the stuff that was said in pure jest, against him. I think Korean sense of humour can definitely get lost in the translation sometimes, but who am I to talk? British humour is literally all sarcasm and about berating yourself and others 😂🙈

Eventhough, people using this kind of jokes around people they close with but hearing that kind of things over and over again...I don't think anyone can handle that.

They use those hairs when they have to have some style. But in Seungri case, I think it was because in the movie he was playing he needed a very short fringe. About the other things...they were joking, but all this was misunderstood and used against him by those paid to do it and by those fans who were jealous.
and he's joking about drinking, he usually drinks cola. About the game in which fans chose their favourite, I agree, , it was always awful. The reason some fans have, is also awful: they took bb jokes as something real, so they started to hate Ri. This helped a lot who used him as a scapegoat. There's another reason, but i will not say it here. Anyway, it hurted every time Seungri and VVIPS.
