Yes to both. There is a country called Republic of Benin sharing boundary with Nigeria on the south west of Nigeria but this Benin city, is a city in Edo state Nigeria.
The former"Benin empire" capital is now the Benin city in Nigeria " the Benin republic real name is dahomey " they abducted the name Benin in 1970's in honor of the greatness of the former " Benin empire " which once ruled over some states now in the eastern part of Nigeria and southern states of Nigeria including Lagos " badagry " this Same Benin republic then known as dahomey all the way to Togo republic and parts of Ghana "..the splendor was so great that it single handedly changed the western narrative of saying blacks where primitives "..check out the history in" British botanical ".

Is it a crime for an Oba to own a jet? If political office holder of between 4 to 12 or 16 could amount wealth to own luxury cars and jet, what about an Oba that reign on the throne for over 50 years?
@Yemisi - what culture! Benin Kingdom culture is similar to that of Yorubas. The kneel down to greet. If Cheryl meets the Oba of Benin she will get down on her two knees. The Alaafin is not just a ordinary Oba, he is one of the paramount traditional rulers in Nigeria. Did u see how Obasanjo and others greeted him? If not, watch the video. We have cultures and traditions.
Maybe there is one on his land. It is a small plane, you don't need airport, you need an drive way to land. There is a neighborhood here in America that most of the neighbors have a small jet and they have a big garage for the jets and a drive way next to their houses to land their jet.

Respect to my Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom
Ondo isn't a Kingdom, is part of Benin Kingdom. Please go and check history very well.
Jet competition will start among Yoruba Obas very soon
Is anything wrong about that if they have the money?
Am telling you lol
Obasanjo is very cultural and rich in native intelligence
I really appreciate the Olori of Alaafin for her sense of humility in greeting Esame despite the arrogant attitude of Esama wife. Will Esama's wife stretch her hand to greet Oba of Benin?
Is that not Obasanjo and Jonathan somewhere there
The true king of youruba people
Alaafin of Oyo Na correct King in Nigeria
Help us speak with the government, edakun esanu mekunnu
I hope most of u yoruba girls on dis page are learning from our rich culture, d way we greet in Yoruba land. God bless u ow great Olori.

Your own mother should create jobs. Primitive you

When they say Benin . Is Benin 🇧🇯 the country or is a town in Nigeria 🇳🇬 ?

@Elizabeth Sey Jesus is a myth & didn't exist but the Orishas did. U r a big fool for bringing up Jesus that was given to u by your colonizers..

Is there airport in Ibadan?
Maybe there is one on his land. It is a small plane, you don't need airport, you need an drive way to land. There is a neighborhood here in America that most of the neighbors have a small jet and they have a big garage for the jets and a drive way next to their houses to land their jet.

Yes, at Alakia Ibadan
Yes there is airport in ibadan

No good road,no food, no good health but renting a jet to boost himself what a shame
