I popped in Madden 2003 last night and it didn’t have a cool highlight intro, that was the year they started just having just at the pro bowl look at a camera and say it’s in the game. But what hit me was the soundtrack on that game was amazing. So much variety compared to now and if they were just going to have all trap these days they could at least use good trap.
I miss these intros too especially in 2k…but I’d imagine it just wasn’t worth the cost anymore. They probably gotta pay either the players or the NBA extra for the TV footage….and most people only gonna watch it once or twice then press start to skip it anyway…

@@Bethune_Groundstaff On the cartridge version of NBA Live, if you edit the player and name him Michael Jordan, the player would have all the stats and Jordan's likeness. I believe this game was the last game that allowed you to edit the player and he become Michael Jordan.
It may look dated, but ya know what, it was fun. Back then, sports games were simply more fun. Fun factor and the soul of sports is gone from the current games. 2K is the only series that IMO has did okay this generation. But I could always go back to NBA Live or an old NBA 2k game any day.
Thanks , i was the sonics , shawn kemp , we used to play this at my freinds car lot at night after it closed . He was actually all night security at his parents repair and sells car lot . One bad thing is everytime i got really used to the buttons they made a different game with different buttons and moves .

When we all got back to the block we all went to our own homes and got our teams/ Lineups ready for the “Custom teams” we would create on memory cards to bring our teams to each others houses

oh yes, oh yes. i recall figuring out how the bigs could splash 3s. it was a certain way u had to do it, like a fadeaway or something. but all the bigs in the league could hit 3s in this game. as well as the usual 3 shooters. fun times. i used to play the full season and tried to stick to the schedule too. i played the game ON the date in real life lol. i created myself and put myself on the Bulls of course.
