That's a great idea. I never thought about that and thanks for the encouragement there too. There are so many controllers out there and I've covered so many too. I have quite a number than I'm still waiting to receive from different companies. 🤔This might take some time. Msybe before Christmas or after the new year. These will take a bit of planning, but awesome idea. Thanks again. 👍🏻
Really should have paid more attention 😅 Missed that L4/R4 cannot be used as their own buttons in windows, they can just be used as turbo/remapped ones. That paired with that you cannot lock the travel of the triggers is quite a downer, on what otherwise feels like a really really nice controller.
Just clicked purchase few mins ago, i only care about how long it will last. my new xbox controller has the worst case of stick drift just a few months after the 30-day return window from amazon. i really hope this one lasts me a year or so then i would be happy! ty for the review, just wanted to share.
You can try cleaning your xbox controller stick mechanism, its plastic and holds just on latches if i remember correctly. Just look on youtube how to clean it
The Ultimate 2C is basically the same as the Ultimate C, except that it has a higher polling rate, up to 1000hz(If wireless) and 2 extra mappable shoulder buttons, R4/L4.
8-bit do claims you can re-map the buttons right from the controller itself. I never understood if they just meant the extra shoulder buttons or every face button? Any insight into this? Thanx in advance if you figure it out!!! I wish they had manuals on site, but oh well!!
The R4 and L4, but the apps for the PC are much more feature rich. I also like to see if the premap them and to see what buttons they do that with. I've covered so many controllers, now it's just interesting to see what these companies think are the most important buttons.
8bitdo has the Ultimate Software V2 that you can download for Windows. It says it supports it on their website. You can use it to modify key mapping and macros. What values are you trying to modify on the controller?
@@RedBandanaGaming If needed dead zone or anything else. Another RUclips guy said that the new ultimate 2c wireless could not be modified. Will let you know tomorrow who said this in his review.

in terms of competitve shooters would you recomend it? I am very curious why comp players dont use nintendo switch controllers... Or is just because of performance? Thank you ;)
I would say it depends on how competitive you are. There are much better controllers for highly competitive players that cost much more. If you want one with great features at a much more affordable price point, then definitely get this one.
The box says it can run wired, can you tell how to do that? I wanna buy this controller as my 1st one. Also how's the Dpad feeling? Need to know how good that is

can it be connected directly with usb type c to c cable? is it chargeable are the batteries interchangeable what kind of batteries is there a usb type c adapter? these are the things i wish someone would address when they review
No. It's not needed in PC controllers for the most part. You're going to have to look for PC controllers that are also Switch compatible to find that feature.
Hi, thanks for the reply I'm pretty much a newbie. Right now, I'm checking out the Gamesir Cyclone and Cyclone Pro. Any thoughts on whether these are good options for me?
Players can feel when a controller is more responsive, especially on games they play often. Someone like me, who tests hundreds of controllers, yes, I can very easily feel changes in latency.

@TvojjKott nah when i opened the gamepad testing site the left analog was micro shaking. You can tell the sensor is broken
How is this compare to 8BitDo Ultimate C Wired Controller for Xbox?
The Ultimate 2C is basically the same as the Ultimate C, except that it has a higher polling rate, up to 1000hz(If wireless) and 2 extra mappable shoulder buttons, R4/L4.
And what is the polling rate if you use it wired?@@oldsk0ol
It's better for PC, but isn't usually compatible with Xbox Consoles
i have this gamepad and its awesome.
I won mine from Aknes today, I am soo waiting for it to arrive

I've heard the Ultimate app does not do button mapping for 2c, only firmware upload.
yes. no button mapping just plain old firmware update but since there are no firmware updates yet, it does nothing.

Cant wait to but it need a new controller badly
Hi, do the triggers have hall too?
hey if you have to choose this vs gamesir kaleid or g7 he
I would choose the G7 HE because of the mechanical buttons. Plus, the G7 HE works on Xbox too. This does not.
How about the wired version of this controller?
And how to play using it on Android
Like the emulators and google play games?
My box doesn't have "raspberry pi" on the back, only windows and android. what's up with that?
The extra buttons aren’t their own input? Meaning you map ABXY on them? Looking for a true L4R4 buttons
They can't be their own input. Games aren't designed with those buttons, because they don't exist on standard controllers. They are meant for mapping.
it's like you are not gaming bro, use your common sense
Does this have rumble / vibration. The ps5 controller i use on my PC broke and i wanna get this as a replacement. I mainly play single player pc games
Yes it does. I mentioned it in the video.
My bad...one of my stupid days lol
does this controller also work for PS5?
Awesome controller what you don’t play on PC you are missing out I am a console gamer too I surprise that you are not trying your ps5 to test it out
That controller is only compatible with PC and Android.
Hi, does this controller work on a switch magic?
Disclaimer: the 8BitDo Ultimate App on the Microsoft Store does not support this controller
You have to download the app from their website.

Just plug it in to your PC. That's it. Very simple.
The dpad is the best in the game. It's exactly like the SNES dpad.

how about circularity error?
can it be connected directly with usb type c to c cable?
is it chargeable
are the batteries interchangeable
what kind of batteries
is there a usb type c adapter?
