Steven, my wife and I really like watching the videos that you post on this channel. As for the Allure of the Seas’ City Park, the ship was in Galveston between cruises when a major freeze struck southeast Texas earlier this year. It suffered almost every plant and tree being killed from this freeze. We were on a cruise with AOTS a couple of weeks later and City Park looked nothing like the photos taken before the cruise. We live in the south Houston area was local major news for a while. They were taking out the smaller plants while we were on the ship, but the major trees can only be taken out and replaced when no guests are onboard, which means only an hour or two between the cruises. From what I understand from more recent photos, it is a lot different now and they are waiting for the foliage to grow out now.
Yes. I’m in Louisiana and we experienced that same cold weather. It was brutal for our southern states. Several posts have been made about how damaging the air was to the plants on the ship. They’re basically having to weed out the old and plant anew.
The Main Dining room is great, but also Johnny Rockets is a great place to go for breakfast (it's included unlike lunch/dinner), it's sit down, but I enjoy the atmosphere better there. Park Cafe is a good grab and go place as well if you want to be quick.
Man you sure got alot of facts wrong in this video sabor isn’t just on allure it’s on about 4 other ships as well. The plants was taken out because of a freeze Texas experienced and they often do maintain on the plants in center park anyway
Sabor used to be on Navigator, Freedom, Oasis, but has since been replaced on those ships. It is still on Harmony, and Liberty though. It’s something they’re phasing out of and there’s too many ships to keep track of, so I thought they were gone already.
Your video would have been more helpful to people considering the Allure had you done a little research instead of using your thumbnail & a lot of time to drag the Central Park for the landscaping. Its called winter. Plants freeze in winter. There was a cold snap a few months ago and everything froze. It is a complicated logistical process to load new trees via crane over the top of the ship. They can’t do that while pax are on board. Looks like several have pointed this out. Also, most of the time these Oasis class ships are not in areas where a hard freeze is a concern. The Allure moves to PC in FL in late October so she will hopefully avoid freezing weather this year.
Everything is bigger in Texas, as they say, and that means the disappointment of a hard freeze taking out a beautiful Central Park on AOTS. I'm hoping Central Park is restored before our July and September cruises! 🚢
I’m glad someone pointed out about the weather in Texas being the reason of the thumbnail. Really like the boardwalk view but I don’t know if while cruising I would prefer a ocean view or boardwalk hotel. I like the format of the food review after while showcasing the food. Dinner time vlogging can be awkward specially when seated too close to other guest plus probably you can enjoy the food more.
I have been on numerous Oasis-class ships and have been on Allure four times In answer to your question on why would they put a Central Park on Icon when they don't take care of this one, my answer is this They take very good care of their Central Parks on all of the Oasis-class ships What happened on Allure was this: Allure got caught in a cold snap in Galveston which killed all of the trees and plants, much as it did on land They have been trying to cultivate it and see what would grow back naturally, and see if the trees would grow back Central Park before the cold snap decimated it was gorgeous, and hopefully it will come back
You do not know what you are talking about with central park..they had freezing weather in Texas which caused most of the plants to die..they are working hard to get it back to what it was before..remember all the plants are live..they just don't grow over knight
It makes me very sad that you slammed Central Park without having the facts. It isn’t that Royal isn’t taking care of it. The issue was that over the winter of 2022-2023 Allure was hit with such a terrible winter storm that it killed most of the plants in Central Park. Many of us at home were hit with the same storm and it killed dozens of my perennial plants. What you saw while onboard was Royal cleaning everything out and getting it ready to plant the new replacement plants. I was on Allure a week ago (Oct 2023) and it looks so wonderful because not only did they plant the new plants but they’ve all had time to grow. I really wish you could edit in a correction to your negative comments so that other people would understand what happened to poor Allure.
Dude! $20 per person isn't a bad price unless it wasn't good food. It's not complaining if you're giving your experience and opinion without expecting someone to do something about it. Let 'er rip; I'm listening.

That actually makes sense. I’m glad that things have gotten better. I didn’t realize how cold Texas got since it’s so close to the Caribbean.
@@GoodMorningAdventuresTexas cold can be pretty brutal at times even below freezing at some points
That makes a lot of sense thanks Matt for the added information.

Just wanted to update you about Central Park plants. Texas sustain a freeze and allure Central Park plants were damaged from the freeze
That would explain it.
Is it best to go to the main dinning hall for breakfast and coffee is Jonny Rockets or another place recommended? Thanks

Your audio is great in the wind. Amazing actually
Liberty of the Seas also has Sabor.
When did you cruise? We are soon about to board this same ship. Worried about Central Park.
This video was from March, but I've heard it's much better now. Please let me know when you get back.

Central Park suffered from the extreme freeze that hit Galveston last winter. Killed the trees.
Just like the person said above. There was a major freeze that killed everything. I had friends that went in may and said a lot of it has come back.
That’s great to hear! winter was something that was in the back of my mind when I filmed it, but I just always associate warm weather with this class

I’m be on this boat next Sunday.
Awesome! Let me know how things are looking now versus when I went! I hope you enjoy your cruise!

Have you ever thought about contacts? Or is Drew Carrie your hero?

Sabor = sahBORE
SORRY, I'LL TAKE LAS VEGAS ON ITS WORST DAY!
Allure of the Seas sucks 🤮🤮🤮
