Thank you for this excellent video. I'd like to know if it's possible to find the best platform for outsourcing the creation of my book using ghostwriters, as well as the best platform for outsourcing book covers. One concern with hiring ghostwriters is that many freelancers are now using AI.
@@salaheddinehounka1553 I would say upwork for ghostwriters. If you don't have time to find one yourself you can go to urban writers and for cover just run a 99 designs book cover contest. Hope this helps :)
I’m curious how to create the most successful non-fiction titles and also what paid tools are best for keyword research. Thanks, your channel is the best.
Hi Barry, Thank you for sharing the clarity of your thought and previous hard graft. I'm sure I speak for many more when I say, again, thank you. I might just be getting the hang of this !!!
Excellent and easy to understand information. Thank you for sharing this. I have been so confused by watching other videos that quickly gloss over this then show how to make a book in the same video.
For a coming video, it may not be part of the publishing process, but a video about how to promote books on social media would ne helpful. Which one to chose, how to talk subtly about the book... any trick... thanks Barry
Such a valuable lesson! I wish I had known this before entering my first book into a genre with over 10k competitors: "Jokes for kids age ___". It was costly to buy ads and not very effective. Thanks again for another awesome lesson, Barry!
Barry I have literally gone through a lot of your videos and I can say they have been really straight to the point and very helpful. Thank you ❤ Though I'll like your opinion on something. I currently have published 13 books on Amazon between November 2023 till date January 2024 but after watching your videos I just figured my books need to be worked on. But would you advice me to work on all 13 of them before publishing new ones? or I should forget about them for now and start publishing new books but this time around I do it the right way?
Hey Gabriella, I'm glad you're finding the videos valuable. However, it's extremely difficult for me to answer this question for you. It depends on how much free time you have, how high your budget is and how good your design skills are. Also depends on the niches you are publishing in and the quality of your books. This business decision is all up to you :)
@@barrygeorgioukdp Don't really have so much time, but I can spend 3-5 hours daily on Amazon KDP. Don't really have good designing skills so I plan to pay to get my book covers done, I used to publish in highly competitive niches, but I would do my niche research right from now on with the help of your videos. My budget is not high but I can pull this off one high quality book at a time 💯👌
You can find people that are willing to download your book and leave an honest review or you can use websites that are designed for getting reviews for your book. Personally I don't run ads for a book until it's gotten reviews. This makes sure I promote the book at a good conversion rate :)
Appreciate that :) The subs can reach any number they want, it's the comments I'm most interested in and giving as much value as possible. I'm glad you enjoyed the video 🙂
Another fabulous video! Direct and on point - no fluff, no blah-blah (thank f**k). THANK YOU, Barry!! Please - how to create the best book to kill competitors AND make many sales. Interestingly, you do not limit your niche research to topics or areas that you (we) are knowledgeable in...so how does one create a book on a topic you know nothing about? A niche of "how to draw people" is not that complicated (I assume) however, when you consider a book like the one you did on trains - that is a different story. How do you research the topic so that your book is the best in the niche, considering the content would have to be similar to competitors? Do you identify ghost writers who know the topic or would they rely on your book outline? What is the - effort vs profit - balance? iow how much effort /time/ money is acceptable for a book selling at $11? Sheeeesh sorry, so many questions, so many video's. You aren't planning on sleeping for the next few months, I hope?
These are all great questions I appreciate you writing all these out since it helps me create better content for everyone. All of these questions will be answered in a future video where I show you how to make a book that completely destroys every competitor in the niche. I'm so excited to show you guys :)
Hey Dylan, I'm glad you're finding the videos helpful. The new spots are coming very soon. If you signed up for the waitlist you will; be the first to know :)
Personally I only use Google Chrome on Windows. I have a plug in called DS Amazon Quick View which is an extension on Google Chrome which tells me the ABSR and ASIN instantly :)
i published my first coloring book and it went live about 4 days ago but when i search for the title, its nowhere to be found. Its the only coloring book , or any product with this name. Shouldnt it populate by a simple search? The ASIN comes up with a search. Just not the title which is strange.
So, if you find a good niche.. let's say with 300 results... but the books don't sell (their BSR is bad) which probably means bad money allocation does it mean you should avoid this niche? I don't know, maybe the idea is bad and nobody is looking for these books? Maybe the existing books are terrible? But what do you do in this situation? Since you have lower competition, it means it's good, but I'm confused whether is it worth to try and go in this niche. But what if your book is good and you actually start to make this niche a hit? Probably all niches had no books until someone came in and then another one and another one and eventually they reached 1500 - 3000 search results and 3-4 of these books sell very well (have good BSR)
Personally, I prefer to find a niche that has already proved itself rather than spend time and energy on a niche that 'might' work. With that being said I helped a friend start KDP and they found a niche exactly like the one you're referring to. Not many sales, but after checking the keywords for the niche there was a lot of search volume so we found that the demand wasn't met. So my friend published four books in that niche (because the first one performed well) and made 5 figures in December of 2021. I would say if the niche looks like it's a trend or hot topic, it could be worth a shot. So it might work or it might not. You need to make a decision if you're willing to take that risk :)
@@barrygeorgioukdp That sounds good but apparently I have no knowledge how to actually check if the niche is a trend. I guess all I can do so far is check the search results and look at the BSRs. You mean you searched the keywords in a program like Helium 10 and Publisher Rocket for example to check their search volume?
@barrygeorgioukdp What extention do you use that shows you the BSR directly under the books? I also have one, but it doesn't show them so big and fast to catch.
