Just discovered your channel biking in japan is one of my dream trips and your channel has been really helpful for planning it. Also I hiked from magome to tsumago in November of 2023 so it was really cool to see those familiar sights.

Absolutely loved the places in this video! Added the Nakasendo town to the mental list of places I gotta visit when I go to Japan. It feels like you're back in historic Japan; I can see why this was one of your favorite places so far. Since I'm pretty big on hiking, maybe I'll instead just try hiking the Nakasendo someday? That would be a pretty cool experience.

Hi again! That would be so cool, I've never hiked any of it but it seems like it would be a really pretty and meditative hike, plus all the old towns you would get to see! Hope you get the chance to do that one day :)

Just found your Chanel, we traveled to Japan in February 2024 to visit my daughter who is also a JET . Japanese convenience stores are the one thing I really miss about Japan. Love the gentle nature of your episodes.

What is the best month to do a cycling tour like this, in Japan?

good question, Fall is my favorite season (late september to november) but Spring is also really nice (April and May especially). Any time is good, though summer can be extremely hot in japan and winter can be snowy in many places, so its best to check the weather for the regions/times you'd like to ride to make sure. I hope you have a nice trip!
