This technique really works after trying countless other ways.
Thank you very much.
No problem,
Thanks very much! The Valvoline Instant Oil Change which replaced the car battery (they replaced it several years ago so I figured they knew what they were doing) had no clue as to how to reprogram it this time, and your solution worked perfectly.
No problem, glad it worked out!
What a life saver your video is! I am very grateful for your sharing that saved me a trip, time and money to the dealer for a nuisance my A4 B7 experienced
Great to hear! Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated!
I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this video. I had no idea why both my key remotes stopped working. I was about to hand my 2004 Audi over to the dealer to look at. I can only imagine what the bill for that would have been.

Howsit bro.
Tried it unfortunately didnt work.2003 audi a4 b6 1.9tdi .
The key was checked by a workshop and the battery replaced. They said the key is fine....any tips where to look from now
If this procedure doesn't work and key fob is good than it has to be relearned into the computer and a locksmith will be required or dealer but locksmith is cheaper.
Does it alesow work for an a4 from 2001?
Try it
May i Use this on skoda fabia 2010?
You can try won’t hurt?
Does this work on a brand new key?
No, the key is coded to the vehicle.
@@Motorcarnut so even when you purchase a key from dealer with vin# it has to be coded first
Your talking about the blade or the whole remote? When you get either from the dealership they should work without reprogramming but yes you can follow video if yours doesn’t work.
Mister I will try If it works I will honestly write it
It works, just read the other comments and follow the video, good luck
Mine didn't work maybe the problem was that I couldn't open the door manually I had to open it trough the trunk and climb inside (this triggered also the hazard lights but not the allarm) then I could open the doors trough the ignition the central lock system is working trough the door buttons but the key not and I also can start the car with the key I tried many reset techniques but nothing is working. Does anybody had similar issue?
Sounds like you need a new remote
@@Motorcarnut sad times is it cheap ?
Try an automotive locksmith on facebook.
Did not work for me I have an Audi TT 2004. But all I had to do was put my key in the door unlock and look once and while your key is still in the door press the buttons!
Great, good tip for others to try.
This didn't work for me. Anything else to try?
Are the batteries new? Also take battery out and clean the contacts with a pencil eraser and retry.
@@Motorcarnut yes new battery. I'll try the contacts cleaning but with a pencil eraser?
Yes, it’s an old trick and works good
Didn’t work on my 98 A6 (same key)
Check battery and contact points for corrosion, if good ,remote or buttons probably defective.
...impessive
thanks
No problem! Thanks
I had my fingers crossed for a while, didn't work, looks like a trip to the dealer for me, thanks anyway.
Sorry to hear that. If this and it has new battery then probably the remote itself
Mine doesn't work that way 😭
If it doesn’t look like this one, it probably won’t work. Sorry.
Nope, didn't work for mine
Remote is probably no good if you followed the video
Didn't work
Sorry to hear that, than it’s probably your remote battery, remote itself or keyless entry module.
@@Motorcarnut I changed the battery on the key first and didn't work. Its a 2002 audi a6.. could it be a fuse ?
Was it working before you replaced the battery?
It was working until my kid played with it for 5mins, I thought the battery died so I changed it but still doesn't work
Works!! 🎉
Of course! Enjoy
Thank you very much!
No problem
