@@Jon_Tanjore Yea the choreography is incredibly slow on rewatch. The added in sound effects and dialogue are what make this good storytelling - but it's not a good 'fight scene' as such. We've had much better since, also without the "no CGI" dogwhistle (i.e. the John Wick series).
When I first saw that fight, I couldn't imagine how shocking it was to movie audiences, not having any superpowers, just two big brute force enemies. And when he knocked Batman to the ground, it was really... shocking.

And there was something especially scary about a villain not just him but his henchmen all sharing the same will and spirit. That short monologue by Bane in the shadows might be the most iconic ‘action movie’ line ever. I heard it once and completely memorized it. Tom Hardy turned into a BEAST for this film, easily 25 pounds of muscle.
Bruce's mistake was that he wasn't yet ready for Bane. He was out of action for eight years while Bane was patient and waited. He ignored Alfred's warning about Bane's speed and training. He got under Bruce's skin and he got in his head.

The way he describes how he'll torture Gotham is terrorizing. This wasn't the Bane we were looking for, but its an amazing Bane we can enjoy. Better than the beef head we got a couple Batman movies back.
